The Voyager Golden Records are two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977.[1] The records contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth, and are intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form, or for future humans, who may find them. The records are a sort of time capsule.

Although neither Voyager spacecraft is heading toward any particular star, Voyager 1 will pass within 1.6 light-years' distance of the star Gliese 445, currently in the constellation Camelopardalis, in about 40,000 years.[2]

Carl Sagan noted that "The spacecraft will be encountered and the record played only if there are advanced space-faring civilizations in interstellar space, but the launching of this 'bottle' into the cosmic 'ocean' says something very hopeful about life on this planet."

Many modern human beings are by nature self-centred and many people believe Homo Sapiens Sapiens is a "special species", as if we are the only sentient species to exist.

This is simply not the case. Although hard empirical evidence of other (sentient) life beyond Planet Earth is yet to have been discovered by humans, this does not mean that (sentient) non-human life does not exist elsewhere.

But, certainly, yes, it is wholly stupid to say that there is no (sentient) life beyond our own/Earth. We also have yet to truly explore the vast cosmos out there and most likely will never be able to in several, several generations from now.

There may be aliens out there, but they're so far away, you have to ask, "when" were they there? Basically, even if someone else is out there, we'll never know because the distances are to great.

I also have a question, how do scientist know there are other galaxies within our universe? I know they use a very power telescope, but it's just mind blowing.

Do those galaxies also have planets?

Yeah that's why they come visit earth breh. It's like us going on safari.

Also if you can bend space time you can effectively jump to anywhere in the universe. So the craft itself might cap velocity once it approaches light speed for example but you can jump a worm hole and travel large distances.
