This is why you do not even try to placate the SJW Whammen Woke Crowd
SJW news articles are coming out groaning about the white men in the movie getting more screen time than the Wahminz and other diverse cast members, also pissing about (the absolutely incredible Karen Gillan) Nebula getting more screen time than the Woke-Feminist-Approved (the absolutely pure chit Brie Larson) Captain Marvel.
... but this just shows how insane they are. Yeah, we could all see the anti-White-Men comparison coming a mile away (how dare Marvel let the characters audiences love the most that they're saying Goodbye to get more airtime!!) but this insane complaint about FEMALE Nebula, who is a great character, who has a ton of history, who the audience is invested in, who the audiences do want to see more of, getting more VS the Woke-Approved, and technically no more diverse, Captain Marvel, who was just introduced, who was controversial, who the audiences are not invested in, who has had a somewhat contentious MCU adaptation, getting less time on the screen.
They Wah because by Wahing, it gives them power -- this means SJW Crybullieswill always complainand if someone is going to complain no matter what, there is no reason to make any attempt to reason with them or appease them in any way. SJW Crybullies will complain and exert themselves as long as people listen to them with a mistakenly open mind.
In fact, I am starting to even question debating how backwards stupid they are and highlighting their insanity, as I am doing (and the video I'm about to link does in depth). Even laughing at these clowns is more attention than they deserve.

During my screening last night there was a ton of hooting and hollering during awesome parts. Usually this bugs the **** out of me, but for the first time in my life I was joining in on the yelling. I legit screamed "*uck yeah! Lets go!" during one scene. That being said, during the SJW scene you could feel like awkwardness in the theater. Like maybe 5 girls clapped, but everyone else was dead silent

I liked it, and I wasn't a fan of IW. I'm sure review sites that are raving now will nitpick in 3 months:
Spoiler!
The pre-release spoilers I had read were close but not 100%. Not sure if that's from different footage shown, deliberate misleading spoilers, or just inaccurate posts.
Spoiler!
Honestly... feels like when as a kid I finished the Spider-Man Clone Saga. It was the end of a big arc, and I didn't really get back into comics after that. This might be the end of superhero movies for me, but what an end. :-)
Spoiler!
The lazy writing of Carol Danvers as a Deus Ex Machina plot device. Drops out of the sky to deliver a doomed character, used again 3 hours later to drop out of the sky to destroy Thanos' ship. Didn't see Captain Marvel flick, did she give any emotion in that movie? Here she was stiff.

Spoiler!
I had read at the end Cap gets sent back, Bucky asks Fury where he went and Fury brings up Peggy and how she had always kept her private life secret. Cuts to Cap and Peggy dancing and he says, "I can do this all day," end.
Close, but I like the official version with just the kiss better.

People in my theater cheered during that part, but mostly for Captain Marvel/Scarlet Witch. I don't think it was a "bad" scene, I just think people didn't really care for it. Who in that list of female heroes/characters do people truly feel connected to? Black Widow wasn't there and the others are relatively minor/smaller in their world.

Quick tip guys, don't shave the underneath of your chin, it just doesn't fuking look right. His was a tightly shaped beard, I get it, but that was too much. I have a pretty good jaw line, at least for an overall lean/ecto-shaped non-bulky guy, I'm fairly lean and don't carry pudge in my face lucky for me, I don't need a beard to be a makeshift jawline and neither does the black Falcon guy, but by doing that it just looks wrong. I'm not the beard expert, but when I grow a short one out, I shave a straight line underneath my face around the neck area. Do not do a George Lucas thing though, ever.
Oh and yeah I think he's always been entertaining so I'm fine with him being the successor, SJW quotas or not

In this day and age, it was definitely a SJW diversity move, regardless of comic book backing. I hate them caving to that BS. MCU is quickly heading downhill and off the cliff. Feel like this was the end of the good movies. The rest will get progressively "progressive" with the BS. Especially with soyboys already complaining like in the youtube vid posted above. x10000 on the dumb beard.
Dark Phoenix is going to bomb too. Godzilla trailer looked sweet and new MIB could be entertaining cuz of Thor and Valkyrie.
Will never watch another movie that's not IMAX again crew

well, that kinda sounds like you just want to find something to be upset about. If he had done something ridiculous like got up and gave it to Captain Marvel then you'd have a point, lol.
I do agree with you about Dark Phoenix. For some reason I have literally no interest in seeing it. I feel like I should, but after butchering Apocalypse and then the fox/disney merger i'm just not feeling it.

Pretty exiting movie, but less good than Infinity War.
-I am kinda mixed on bloated Thor. It was funny at first, but I really wanted him to make a comeback to his old self.
-Was it to nerf him so his axe wouldn't just murder gauntletfree Thanos?
-Is this the reason they had to fry Hulk before the battle as well?
-Captain Marvel was handled okayishly. She didn't overshadow anyone, but still seemed really powerful.
-She could have joined the time travelers and instead learned about teamwokr getting along with others.
-Everyone got to shine: Black Widdows ending was great, Hawkeye did a lot, Nebula was interesting, Cap fought like a baddass
-making the final battle into a football game was really cool
-the time travel was handled well with the way they turned it into a heist
-the girl power shot didn't annoy me, let the woman be happy
-I liked Prof. Hulk and the way they motion tracked the actor.
-I am kinda disappointed less characters died than I thought
[/Spoilers]
Are there SJW themes? Not really. Nothing you have not seen in the comics for many years/decades. But there is one scene that worries me. SPOILER TAGGED-Spoiler!
The funeral- everyone was there, even the kid from IM3. At the back was Carol Danvers. But she was standing on top/center of the stairs. Maybe the anti-SJW in me is just giving it too much meaning, but it might mean from here on out, she is the main focus.
3 hours did not feel that long. But no end credit scene.
Spoiler!
I think it was more because she is not as close to Tony as the others and also kind of a loner in general.
They know exactly what they're doing by going that route. HINT: money grab from certain demographics. Unfortunately for them, they kinda blew their load with BP and won't see the ROI with the new Cap.
Regardless, it had no effect on this movie. I enjoyed it and will watch it again when I can stream it so that I can take in all the stuff I missed that flew by.

Regarding Hulk / Thor / Falcon:
Spoiler!
Spoiler!
Might be an actor thing. His dialogue didn't read like Professor Hulk, it just felt like Mark Ruffalo. He had the smallest amount of face time in the original Avengers, and when Hulked out it's really not him so it's even less. This might have been a way to get him on screen... downside was they'd have to nerf Hulk hard.
Yeah, I figured once Thor called lightning down he'd just pop and be skinny. Might've been another nerf, but I think it was more for a send off as its the end of a 7 picture contract. Make him fat, lose his ties to earth, and next Guardians movie they can write him off with a single line of dialogue, "oh he flew over somewhere else now without us."
I thought the shield would pass to Bucky, but Falcon makes sense. Storywise, pass it to someone with heart as opposed to another super soldier.

Full disclosure, I didn't see Apocalypse or whatever the last X-men was, saw the design of Apoc and was out on that alone, I am familiar with the negative-to-tepid reception it had. Dark Phoenix has three knocks against it as I see it, actually probably a lot more.
1. They already did the story and did a miserable job with X-men 3.
2. It has negative momentum from the last movie
3. While X-Men helped usher in these movies, I don't think they've evolved with the genre much at all. Still campy, I don't want to say disrespectful of the source material but they generally are below even the DCEU in regards to respecting it, etc..
4. And the usual problems with all these films, even the good ones, the constant Magneto in every story, Mystique because of Jlaw, some other chit as well.
I also think a lot of fans are far more excited to see these characters get a reboot and be folded into the MCU. I don't know how good or bad this movie will be, but the expectations are that whatever it is, it's going to be far better in 5 years and the sooner this Fox version of the X-Men closes shop, the quicker we'll get something we want a lot more.

I may get negs for this, but I didn't think the previous Avengers movie was even that great. The Infinity War one. Marvel movies nowadays are...a bit...iffy.
If I had to choose between DC and Marvel, I'd be pushed to choose DC.
EDIT: Okay, the Spidey franchise is alright ('cept for the cruppy Amazing series - that was a ton of crup - both movies) a bit. And Iron Man. X-Men's alright as well, I guess.

3RD UPDATE, FRIDAY 9:02 AM: One exhibition source says that the amount of business that Avengers: Endgame is doing “is ridiculous.” Off of 9 AM shows alone today, big venues like the AMC 25 Empire in NYC is making $175K, NYC Lincoln Square counts $161K, Regal E-Walk has $78K, while the Edwards Irvine is seeing $145K. Industry estimates are seeing $130M-$140M for today including $60M. “I don’t see how the pic doesn’t get to $300M-plus,” said one rival distribution exec.

can anyone answer this?

-fat thor was funny at first but i wanted old thor to come back
question - how did capt america get his shield back in whole? how did he not run into his old self in the past? i mean shield obviously had him on ice for a bit and they probably thought who the fook is this guy? and what happens to other capt after he came out of ice?
also if thor took his hammer from thor in movie 2 doesnt that mean that Thor will have no weapon?

I wonder if cap, once he lived out most of his life as an old man in the new timeline, decided to travel back to the original timeline instead of dying in the new one. That's the only thing that could explain why he existed as an old man in the original timeline.

EDIT: Okay, the Spidey franchise is alright ('cept for the cruppy Amazing series - that was a ton of crup - both movies) a bit. And Iron Man. X-Men's alright as well, I guess.

You say that but in the comics falcon actually does become captain America when Steve gets old. So does Bucky. Certain demographics will get their fill with BP 2 so I’m not really sure you’re really into anything there.

The only thing I could possibly fathom with Thor would be the alternate timeline thing but that doesn’t seem plausible with Cap giving the stones back. Cap went back to the 70’s after he’d been on ice for some time. He still had ~40 years before his other self got thawed at which point he wouldn’t even be noticeable as Cap. Fury and the others could easily have kept that under wraps too after future Cap telling them what’s going on.

when cap returned to the past he brought Mjolnir with him, so he was able to give it back to Thor

Loved the movie but there were some issues for me.
Spoiler!
The fat Thor thing was funny at first but can’t believe they kept him like that the whole movie.
Can’t believe we didn’t get to see much of Hulk fighting or the fact that Banner and Hulk becoming one happened off screen.
Should have been Bucky.
Still don’t like Captain Marvel. I’m actually worried about the future of the MCU because of her. Especially if she is really going to lead it. There are so many great female characters they could use but they picked the worst one to focus on.
Saw it today, don't know how to use spoiler tags so I won't mention anything specific.
just wish it was bucky mayne
You do
and [/spoiler.]
Just remove the period at the end of spoiler. Everything within that tag...
Spoiler!
will be hidden like this.
Spoiler!
Now that I've had more time to think about, I actually think this movie did really good to pay homage to the entire ~11 years of MCU we've had.
I wish we got to see Thanos fight the Avengers while had some of the infinity stones, especially because even without the stones and just a big sword/spear he was pretty level at fighting Iron Man, Thor and Cap. With the stones? Would've been interesting, especially with the others there fighting.
Also, lol at Thanos one punching Cap Marvel with the power stone and sending her flying. Chit was hilarious.
thats my only regret too. i wish we had longer fight scene. im sure it cost millions but i was hoping strange would get time stone and do some crazy chit. only power stone we saw alone. it was weird seeing thor get slapped around with both weapons and thanos had no infinity stones. and then scarlet witch just owns him 1vs1. i thought they were equal in power before that. i guess not lol
