Is there really such a thing as a natty limit?

I mean since genetics play such a huge part the lines are very blurred between what is and isn't possible natty.

While one guy might top out at 6'0 170 10%, who's to say there aren't genetic freaks who can't reach 200lbs+ at a similar level of leanness.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

No chit. Natty limit is individual, not all encompassing.

And it absolutely exists, there's just know true way to know exactly what it is for each individual. Only your natural hormones know the answer to that question.

I disagree. Although there is a good amount of overlap I would would say that training for size/aesthetics, and training for pure strength aren't the same.

I would say that when training for aesthetics it's more a matter of hitting the muscle groups effectively (Good form) than lifting heavy, and because of this the training routine of someone who is purely trying to look good might look quite different from someone who just wants to get strong i.e.less focus on the big 3.

I'd also say that way too many people fuk around, and their actual genetic limit is way higher than they think.

You just try to find ways around plateaus or "previous limits," after, what...5 years, 10 years....?? Generally speaking, of course naturals reach their physical limitation THRESHOLDS, ESPECIALLY if they don't go up in weight (overall weight makes it easier to lift more poundage). The more someone can lift, logically, the more LBM they can build. And the more LBM they retain, hopefully, they can keep making strides...in their fitness level, mental fortitude, knowledge on working around injuries, muscle definition and separation, recoverable volume work...

I remember reading some stuff on height to weight ratio. Just be realistic, you can't be 5'5 200 lbs <9%.

I think it was something like this, general estimation.

I'm sure there is a natty limit for everyone, but like others have said, it's going to be different for every single person. It's also going to be different depending what that person is going for. Are they going for their aesthetic limit or strength limit? Me personally it's been mostly about aesthetics although in the past I've tested my strength with some things. At this point with previous injuries/shoulder surgery, I'm not willing to test it out that much and risk re-injury or different injuries. Too old for that crap. Just want to look good and be able to carry all the heavy grocery bags up 3+ flights of stairs without falling over. lol

Absolutely. Trained regularly from 16-20, and I remember my max BP was exactly 255lbs. Stopped lifting for ~8 months, lost basically all my gains, then got back into it. My current max on BP is still 255 and I cant seem to go further, been stuck there for 2 months. Now Im not sure if its a mental thing or what, but I believe I cannot go beyond that number. I also cant get past 185lbs bodyweight without putting some fat.

I guess I could bloatmaxx for a while but its not worth it imo, did it once and my face went to chit srs. Id rather join the dark side and keep making progress (which I will soon)

Same whether i was 175 lbs or 219 lbs my bench never went past 255-260. I benched this for the first time in 2011 and haven't made any gains since. I also can't go past 185 without gaining mostly fat. My body basically doesn't want to bulk past 185-190 lbs.

Why doe? Why not learn to be satisfied with yourself natural? Tweak the things you aren't happy with, but be ok if you don't get huge.

Highly doubt I'm anywhere near the limit after 5 years of training and at 169 I think I'd be pretty damn close or under 9%

I would guess using this tool would be the closest (outside margin of error because some of the data used was probably non natty lifters)

http://www.weightrainer.net/bodypred.html

But that's IF you trained since just before puberty and kept at it with perfect diet etc etc

something like 0.00000000001% chance you ever do :P

Yes but its going to be highly individualistic/genetic. Different bone structures carry mass differently. Bone thickness, joint size, etc. all play a role.

It takes years to build mature dense muscle. But as you age your hormones change as well. Testosterone gets a little lower. Metabolism might slow due to stress, day to day life, being less active, etc. It takes longer to recover so your not capable of doing as much as when you were younger. Etc. Eventually you will reach your natty cap where you just can't put on and maintain muscle any longer. And as you age you start losing what you had.

Also want to add once you've been consistently lifting for 10+ years the concept of making gains changes. You might be able to make micro adjustments to your body but unless your taking photos daily/weekly and comparing them in a 3-6 month time lapse. Its hard to notice any difference. And you look so drastically different if your holding a bit of water/bloat as compared to when your not. Etc.

Been in the gym 12 years and gains are harder to achieve. I have noticed I've been able to bring my biceps up in the last year though. To the point where its noticeable.

I dont have an explanation. But I love lifting and I love to progress (in every aspect of life), so lifting the same weight each session does get boring and pointless. Also, although Im well aware I got an above average physique, its really not how I want to look. Maybe its body dismorphia, I dont know
