Has Dany had the most losses of anyone at this point?
- Dothraki mostly wiped out (a few thousand left?)
- Half of her Unsullied dead (4,000 left)
- Viserion and Rhaegal
- Jorah
- Missandei
She has left:
- Varys (who probably wants to kill her)
- Tyrion (who wants to reign her in, but has lost his position/importance for her)
- Jon (who doesn't want to bang her any longer because he doesn't swing that Targaryen-incest-way)
Banging in Hong Kong 2017, Europe Roadtrip 2018, planned: Mt. Kilimanjaro 2019. <- never happened, broke my leg, fml

Why did dany even bring melissandei with her? She doesn't need a translator anymore. Have her sit in winterfell safe with sansa.

Question for the book readers. When did the series get ahead of the books? Was it season 7?

I didn't think the episode was that bad.
I also dont think the episode/ season was atrocious like some of you phucks.
I swear you will whine about anything. Fine any little detail in something and hate on it.
I was sad to see the dragon die, but it had to be done for the final battle. Two dragons vs Cersi is just unfair. They need to make it more even.
To the whiny phuck giving us velocity and trajectory lessons from these crossbows...you do know this is a show with dragons and zombies right? Phuck off *******
I dont understand Dany and Tyrion showing at Kings Landing. Part of my wants to believe it was done to show the city that they wanted peace. And that anything that happens now is because of Cersi.
Someone whined about why didnt they shoot Tyrion and Dany while they were standing there? Has that ever happend? There is always a meeting prior. And then a war. No one ever shoots up the group before the war. Even Cersi has honor.
Sansa spilling the beans to Tyrion is a LittleFinger move. She doesnt like Dany. Dont see why people are whining about this.
Im interestred to see what happens to Jamie. Will he die from Cersi, or kill her himself.
I dont know if we have seen the last of the night king and whitewalker story. Im guessing episode 6, we will get a little more. (This will lead to a spinoff)
Episode 5 is going to be the best episode of the season. Its like this with every season of GoT. The second to last episode is always the best. Emilia even confirmed it on Jimmy Kimmel. Dany, has the north, the iron fleet, drone and whats left of her army to fight Cersi. Along with a dragon.

Euron took sailboats across the ocean and back
The Fellowship went North, captured a wight, went to KL, went back North, fought an army of the undead, and have made it back to KL again
Qyburn has made at a minimum 100s of scorpions
And Cersei isnt even showing. Which made Tyrion's speech all the more strange given the audience that was surrounding Cersei.
To be fair it's also my understanding that Gilly has been pregnant for 63 months as well, but at least shes showing her bloat.
I didnt mind this episode as much as last weeks. My hype died down so I was able to drown out some more of the high expectations I had, but the writing is still struggling. I dont know that D&D knew exactly how they wanted this show to get to their ending so it feels unnaturally rushed and sporadic. (Been this way since S7 for me, other than the travesty that was the Dornish plotline). Most of the time its able to be overlooked or I make fun of the plot holes but last weeks episode was worse for me than most have been due to sheer excitement.
At this point I'm in it to win it so I'm not going to stop watching but some people ITT need to stop defending some of the terrible plot holes that are brought up. The show can still be good with them, but in a discussion thread they should be addressed.
My personal S8 scores so far:
Ep1 - 7/10
Ep2 - 8/10
Ep3 - 5/10
Ep4 - 7/10
As bad as some of the writing may be, this is still one of the better shows on TV (behind Veep on HBO for sure)

Budget for season 8 was: $15 million per episode, so $90 million for the season. Blackwater cost $8 million, which was prior to this season one of the most expensive...
For comparison: budget for the rumored LOTR show is set at $250 million for the first season, estimated around $1 billion overall (4-5 seasons).
If people want to be pissed off, be pissed off at HBO. It was the wrong network for this show, because their business model doesn't scale as well as their competition (Amazon / Netflix / ...).
Just an example: Long Night was allegedly the most viewed (in terms of HBO subscribers) at 17 million ... this means they earn their money from those subscriber plus cross-financing from HBO subscribers that don't want GOT (anyone?). Some revenue from licensing the show worldwide, and the remaining 300-500 million viewers are streaming illegally, lol.

I'm glad Dany lost another dragon. Love the dragons themselves but Dany is such a kunt that it brought me joy when I saw her face when the dragon fell into the water.
She was too cocky flying about King's Landing with those dragons roaring as a power move and an attempt to intimidate them but it backfired.
