From his perspective he hasn't been paid and doesn't want to hear chit from them, other than what he can get for sparing their lives, rather than saving their lives in the past.

Let me guess, you wanted a brohug and then they crack open a few beer and have a battle of funny one-liners?
-behaving that way is very unlike him, he has always been laid back even, when faced with possible death
-he arguably abandoned his principles, when he decided to save Jamie last season
-neither Jamie nor Tyrion have the power to actually grant him his request
-if he actually believed they had that power, he would be pretty dumb to extort them, since they would just have him hunted down
-how did he get into Winterfell without anyone noticing?
-how did he even survive his journey to Winterfell on his own with everything frozen and the countryside depopulated by the Night King?
-Now after having traveled through half a continent of ice and snow he just leaves and walks into some unhospitable wilderness to wait?

They should have just killed him off last season, if they didn't have any proper storyline for him.

I don't know how you would call the first 35 minutes 'feminist trope', it involved 40 somethings Giant milk brah and The Hound getting offered sex from college aged girls. It involved a bunch of dudes drinking, and congratulating each other on fighting well.

You also seemingly ignored Dany teary eyed begging of Jon, and Brienne teary eyed Begging of Jon. Men begged women, and women begged men.

I've noticed that miscers seems to have a strong selective focus when it comes to TV and film, ignoring things that go against the "everything is SJW" narrative
Oh I forgot.... how humble of her.... "PLEASE don't tell anyone about who you really are Jon... or you won't ever touch this puss again... and I'll pretty much disown you completely and do whatever the fuk I want anyway".

You don't need to be a miscer to see the ultra-feminist undertones that are woven throughout the plot. EVERY strong male character has been subjugated, killed ... or has no balls (literally lol). The only exception at this point is the Hound.... and maybe Tormund. GRRM was a bit more subtle with it at least.... D&D by contrast are ham-fisted to the extreme and seem to feel that they need to beat you over the head with it.

He had time, the troop build up in Winterfell took place over weeks, maybe months.

The show has always been absolutely horrible with portraying the passage of time, Its a week or twos ride to get up to Winterfell and the last time we saw Bronn was just as the troop buildup was beginning so there was definitely time, especially if he took a few horses and didn't rest long which he is capable of.

That has been a fault of the show from the very beginning, weeks can pass between one scene and the next with no indication of it happening. If you're familiar with the geography of Westeros then you kind of get a feel for how much time has passed during normal cuts that most people wouldn't notice but Kings Landing to Winterfell is about 1500 miles, so about a week and a half to two weeks for Bronn to get up there if he rode relatively hard.

From Dany arriving in Winterfell to the battle of Winterfell was quite a few weeks, maybe even multiple months. People were riding all over the North and returning with messages while they were gathering numbers so, again, a tonne of time for Bronn to ride up to Winterfell from Kings Landing.

He literally offered to infiltrate an impenetrable fortress by climbing it, I think he can handle moving through Winterfell when everybody is absolutely fukked and reeling from a battle with the dead.

Eyrie? For Dany
Riverrun? For the North or dead.

There is no "World" to turn on Cersei that hasn't already turned on her, and certainly no one is that is going to turn on her for breaking Parlay at this point. You're just trying to explain away something stupid that doesn't deserve it. The writing is just bad. It's fine if you still enjoy it.
The Iron bank is a example.
You can argue they wont care, unless they get there money.

There is an entire continent to the East of Westeros made up of hundreds of other countries as well as the Iron Bank who literally told her that there are limits to what they'll tolerate.

The Freys, eh, whatever, they were kind of a bunch of nobodies and a joke to the Seven Kingdoms. People already despised them as low. But if the Iron Bank withdraws their support then Cersei is absolutely fukked.

No one in Essos gives a single fuking chit about what Cersei is doing in Westeros, so long as payments are being made.
"I am merely an instrument of the institution I represent. It's well being is a matter of arithmetic, not sentiment."

They even spoke about what happened at the sept. Cersei called it a tragic accident and Mr. Iron bank gave her the "Lmao yeah ok sure" Look before saying they gave no fuks what it was, so long as payments are made.

No chit lol... I exaggerated a bit.

The point is that she wasn't "begging" because she really wanted to be with Jon.... she was begging because she didn't want to lose her claim to the throne.

Trade and commerce.

You broke the one rule we all agreed not to break by killing the rightful Queen who put us in power, we won't trade with the Iron throne while you sit on it and we won't trade with anyone who does.

How long would it take for everybody to get on that embargo train to save face with Westeros being ONE of hundreds of nations in the network? Then how long until that "matter of arithmetic" isn't adding up for the Iron Bank any more? Take some time to think about the situation they're representing.

I actually don’t have a problem with the “feminist” tropes that you “found” in GoT. When you have kings and queens and lords and whatnot the males are in charge. Then after them its their kids/wife. If the male dies and you either want to keep the woman as your wife or keep her captive like they did with Sansa. If you have one queen you are gonna have 10+ guys going for the throne, the power lies with the woman. You want the woman, you want children to solidify your rule. How many times did Sansa get betrothed or married off to, multiple times. How many guys died trying to get those positions. That should tell you that men are 10x more likely to die or be captured or be subjected to whoever has power. Dany is the queen of whatever, any man that wants her throne has to win her or they die. You guys blame SJW on everything for no reason. If I’m a queen and you want my throne you gonna get slayed boyo.

I’m pretty sure Dragonbish didn’t want Jon to tell anyone bc she knew that it would only lead to strife between proDragonbishers and the North who don't like her. Lmao did you even see them at the post funeral dinner where everyone was cheering Jon. If Jon had said to everyone I’m the true King then Dragonbish would have been forced out.

I literally don't know wtf you are talking about at this point. What rightful queen? Put who in Power? Dany has nothing to do with the Iron bank at this point.
They won't care about the breaker of chains if she dies. At all. The Iron bank will do nothing and there is absolutely no reason to think that they would.

The Iron bank hasn't agreed about any rules with any kingdoms afaik. The Iron Bank supports people all over the world, even supporting both sides during a war. They don't give any fuks about the morality or what "rules" they follow during their battles, so long as they follow the rule of paying their debts.
If Cersei ended the war by dropping Dany right there, the Iron Bank would do nothing so long as payments continued to flow.
There is no one in Essos who is going to Embargo Westeros, what are you talking about.

Have you seen Spartacus? Same gender roles for the most part... but TOTALLY different. Although most of the women didn't fight they had brilliant characters that were multi-dimensional and powerful in their own way WITHOUT going over the top. That show had strong male AND female characters from start to finish.

best scene was the hound and sansa scene

"none of it would've happened if you left king's landing with me. "

imagine that. she would meet up with arya through the hound.

then the three of them woulda been on the road together good ****

it really would've went so well i think.

Everyone i watched the show with were totally shocked at the 200% roid rage moment Bronn showed from the beginning of the scene. The writers goofed by not providing a catalyst for his over the top anger. He should of been a cheeky kunt at first... then roid raged. Instead they left out the cheeky kunt stuff completely. Which made the scene seem completely unauthentic.
He wasn’t that aggressive imo. I was shocked bc since ep 1 some of us have been thinking, what his decision will be. The way he played them last night was exactly who his character is supposed to be, a sell sword. I thought he was pretty cheeky with punching Tyrion n telling him his nose wasn’t broken. Overall he was cheeky for getting a better deal out of them too. “Cheeky kunt” even

This season pretty much blows tho

Pretty sure Lucretia’s husband let her do whatever she wanted to up to a point. And they are two totally different stories, comparing slaves with female rulers. If Lucretia was the queen of Capua she would tell everyone to fuk off.

Yes, he did... which was fine since he was ALSO a major character with his own desires and ambitions beyond cow-towing to his wife.

I'm thinking about reading the books, how good are they? I've never been into much fiction or fantasy but I like the show and want to give it a chance. Does it read well? Is the text confusing at all?

Easy and addictive read aside from the bajillion characters and highborn houses. The books are truly special. The show did a good job in the first 3 seasons adapting them.

Oh boy am I glad GoT is wrapping up quick because without Martin’s involvement, it is utter trash. One more season of something like this would have destroyed it’s entire rep.

It is sad seeing it falling apart like this in what is supposed to be it’s climax. The writing has been catastrophic.

If you love the show I don't see how you wouldn't love the books as well unless you simply don't like to read.

Anyways, they're an easy read and the pages go quickly despite the encyclopedia length of the books. The story does meander in the later books, but still generally far superior to what goes on in the show.

I read them before the show and they were kind of hard to keep up with at times due to all the characters and history, other than that they made very good reading. After seeing the show you'll have no problem keeping up with all the characters and houses, but there are entire chapters devoted to some pretty boring stuff and it can grind to a halt every now and again.

If you ever saw some seemingly inconsequential thing in the show and thought "wonder what thats all about" then you'll love the books.

Show me the receipts. YouTube clips, something.
Astapor, Mereen, Pentos, Bravos etc. etc. Who do you think put their current leadership where it is? Were you looking out your window when we had multiple seasons of Dany freeing those cities and installing new leadership? When they were greeting Dany as their leader? Dany even has the Second Sons enforcing her rule in Mereen while she is in Westeros.

If Astapor, Mereen, Dorne, Braavos, Yunkai, Volantis and Pentos alone had a legitimate reason to refuse to repay the Iron Bank, like the Iron Bank supporting a Queen who killed another Queen during a Parlay, a Queen who also happened to free their cities of slavery and tyranny, then the Iron Bank is going stop supporting her and side with the cities the most money is coming from.

Not that it matters because it isn't a plot point, but it is a motivation for not doing things like slaughtering Dany when she is taking part in a custom accepted the world over as a non combat zone. The story from the beginning has been full of background motivations that you need to drill down a few levels to discover and have it make sense. Its a rich world, there is more than what you are directly fed.
