Ok.
The fukers even changed the whole location of KL, not to mention the mountains and forests and grass.

Video is from 5 episodes ago.

I’m gonna have to check out of curiosity but on HBO Now, apparently they have edited the coffee cup out.

You and I have really similar conclusions about GOT and Endgame.
I'll keep my eye out for your reviews on films and movies, cos it seems like we might have similar tastes.

Honestly, Im going to be pissed with the whole mad queen angle that they're doing with Dany. After episode 1, it looked like they were either going to go mad queen or set her up for a self sacrifice to save the world from the night king. Now that the night king is dead and we're likely not going to get an explanation or a twist that he's still alive somehow via Bran turning or some other way, the mad queen route is the only option, especially given episode 4.

I liked it better when it was material from the books. After GRRM stopped giving D&D material, the writing just fell off a cliff.

I've always said numerous times I take each season in TOTALITY. Game of Thrones always has callbacks and this season is supposed to be, in my eyes, like a long movie. I haven't seen the end yet. So not gonna judge what the writers "could do".. rather what they have done.
Already agreed that the writing isn't 10/10 like the old days, but it still is an 8/10-9/10 on most episodes. I've accepted that.

For her constant talk of breaking the wheel and ushering in change, her direction is now headed towards her becoming precisely what she has spoken against because the writers think making her behave like a petulant teenager is somehowmoreenthralling than characters learning and growing to overcome challenges.
They've been hinting at her 'mad queen' tendencies, and her growing sense of entitlement since Season 1.
Dany has learned to grow and overcome challenges, however she has (like everyone) bad traits, and in a very short space of time has endured massive amounts of trauma; breaking up with the man she loves, the death of her best friends, and the death of 2 Dragons.
She's been in back to back wars. One with the night king and one with Cersei, the fact that she lost so much is plausible given the context. Every character's worst traits come to the surface when they face overwhelming trauma.
The stakes are high in wars, and she's lost a lot in them. A very plausible context for her, as a leader, to lose a lot.
As with Daenerys, the writers threw away his entire arc in exchange for a last couple episodes of soap opera bullsh*t.
I don't think they've thrown away her arc, they've just made her arc from a benevolent leader with a tamed narcissism and bad temper, to her narcissism and bad temper taking centre stage after enduring massive trauma and (as we will probably see next episode) betrayal.Something which (IMO) they've been hinting at being something she needed help controlling from Slaver's bay.
Some character's go from positive to negative in their arc, like Dany.

Dayum, I checked again in the wiki and was right with the 16/20 bastard kids for Robert, but then I saw something I had forgotten...
Spoiler (just backstory, not something I know or have been spoilered)
Spoiler!
I had completely forgotten about that part, thought Cersei only hated Tyrion for Joeffrey and the death of their mother.
Spoiler (just backstory, not something I know or have been spoilered)
Spoiler!
Maggy: Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds, she said. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.[1]
Valonqar is High Valyrian for "little brother". The term is used by Maggy, a maegi and fortune teller from Lannisport, when making a prophecy to Cersei Lannister in 276 AC.[1] The translation of the term is later given to Cersei by Septa Saranella.[1]
As far as I know both Tyrion and Jaime are technically younger brothers to Cersei - so those who posted "Jaime rides to King's Landing to choke Cersei" either referenced that or saw a spoiler somewhere

I've tried to make this point earlier in this thread that it's impossible to tie up all of the storylines within the parameters of TV, budget and time. Even if they went the route of a 10 episode season there's no way to fully explain all of the magical NK elements without an increased CGI budget (imo) while simultaneously keeping the political aspects moving forward.
GRRM has an unlimited budget and unlimited time to finish a series he started working on over 25 years ago and he is nowhere close to completing it. Yet miscers with their extensive author resumes are saying D&D are complete trash bc of rushef aspects and below A+ level writing. It's frankly insulting when there have been so many great scenes and arcs post canon material in the last 3 seasons.
Yes the writng isn't the same but lets not act like it isn't still well above most everything else currently on TV. If the scrutiny people applied to GOT to other great works (e.g. the Sopranos) the level of greatness will be diminished. I hope GOT gets remembered as glowingly as the Sopranos and other shows.

I pretty happy with the way things are going. I've never like Dany's character and have always seen her heading in this direction. Jon needs to grow a pair or he can die for all I care. I enjoyed the episodes with Arya and the Hound. Maybe we will get a little more of that. I'm personally hoping to see "Clegane Bowl" happen. Don't know what the outcome of that will be but it should be good. Fingers crossed for some Jamie redemption.
