If you guys are expecting D&D to pull a clever long-con, I'm sad to say it's not happening. They understand that they've amassed a following of unintelligent NPC fans, and will therefore deliver safe and unimaginative television with deaths and explosions. You aren't getting a secret Bran plot. You aren't getting a return of the Night King, or anything magical for that matter. You aren't getting anything related to prophecy, because they stopped caring about that long ago.

What you will get is more empty dialogue, a big battle, and a couple "shocking" deaths. Pseudo-intellectual normies with hoot and cheer, soy milk spurting from their nostrils. And you will be sitting there with your protein shake, scowling at the screen and wondering how they could fuk up the show so badly.

Campaign's over, sers. Accept this fate and your bones will be returned to their rightful place beneath Misc Island.

they had the least wights sent to them the godswood is way in the back. plus the greyjoys are like masters of archery. most of them did die. but with theon's badass spear fighting abilities he survived until the end

theon would have died. the only reason theon didn't die to the wights was cause the night king stopped his army

and all it takes is one arrow to kill a wight. they are automatically dispelled when it comes to fire i think... plus they have obsidian arrowheads

they had like 40 men there

Yeah but the intial shot showing Theon & the others defending Bran, you can clearly see there's enough wights to overrun them, but then they cut away. It was before NK got there.

Wasn't really a big deal but it reminded me of crappy action movies where they just expect you to believe they made it through that threat.

If the Iron Born are such great archers wouldn’t it have made more sense to have them manning the walls of the castle? And maybe have Grey Worm and 50 of his Unsullied guard Bran since they’re so good defensively?

I didn't really care enough about his character to like or dislike. I wasn't at all interested in his redemption arc, I would rather have had Ramsey alive and Theon dead. Ramsey was 10x better character. Wish he was still around butt raping Sansa.

How so? She was on her own on the street from the time she was about 7. She trained with the most renowned swordsman in the world for an indeterminate amount of time, enough for her to gain his respect in their session before he dies. She watched Jaqan work magic to kill a whole host of people, she was a live in and interacted with Tywinn pretty regularly soaking up what he was teaching, she lived and learned from the Hound who was the most brutal enforcer in Westeros for a time, she straight murdered people, brutally by the age of ten and was on her first job as an assassin in her teens. There is a lot of reading between the lines to do on her training but from a story point of view, it makes more sense to infer that she picked up a lot more skills through training and practice in the months and years that elapsed off screen than it does to say she was written ninja powers because you're on the other side of the argument.

As for the White Walker, that was my slip, point still stands. Maybe even more so.

The guy was torn between what he was and what he wanted to be. He was a ward, essentially a guarantee to be kept by the Starks, to be killed in case the Ironborn reneged on their deal. You can't blame him for having an identity crisis when he was used as a bargaining chip by own father and kept on the fringe of the family he was being kept by.

Nobody wanted him and he didn't even have a side to choose.

I hated him when he went against his fathers orders and went to claim winterfell. At that point it wasn’t even because winterfell belongs to the Stark’s and he was betraying them- after that with everything that happened I started hating him even more. There are two episodes left man, you want them filled with Commanders having a chat in a tent outside the walls while everybody sits around waiting for a few years or do you want to see armies clashing and a dragon fukking chit up in an open field? The series is over, you gotta' let go of the expectation of this mythical "the secret life of a sieging Army" documentary everybody wants to see.

They aren't going to portray a realistic siege, that would be a ten part season on its own. They push the fights out to make it more interesting to watch and not bog us down in the most boring part of historical medieval warfare.

i never hated him... i thought he was the best character. and still kind of think he was the best written one. lot of potential for that character. unfortunately the books will never continue with his character cause they aren't being written no more lol

but alfie ****in nailed it hard.

it's kind of weird how jon and theon didn't become best friends growing up. so similar in terms of not feeling like they belong.

What can Arya realistically do to the Mountain anyways? He's not like the NK where he has a weakness that instantly makes him KO, unless we're counting fire but even then meh he's rather fast, arya couldn't even reach the dude's jewels she's so tiny, here's what i expect Arya vs the Mountain to go like:

***** i dont want to ‘assume’ or ‘infer’ or ‘think about what happens off screen’. I want to Watch it because i Watch the show on tv. If it doesnt connect then i will judge it accordingly.
The show needed more story and more time but since its being rushed, i will turn my brain off and enjoy it for what it is, dumbed down for viewers like you who assume.

Sandor's "You know whats coming for you.... You've always known" was a pretty major hint at something, especially considering how much time Sandor had spent with the Brotherhood. I don't think it was as explicit as saying I'm personally going to kill you, considering that he was standing right there.

She's invisible, she can teleport, apparently she can fly, plot armor thicker than a castle wall. What can't she do? She doesn't take on individuals, she takes on entire armies. House Frey taken out and force fed their children. Entire army of the dead one shot kill. Lol if you think she'd even break a sweat taking out one zombie.
