I'm not. I just see a bunch of uneducated savages constantly attacking trans people, and while they gross me out as well, I think it's time someone told the truth about the situation. None of the trans people asked to be that way. The religious folks want to pretend their god is perfect and there are never any errors in development. It happens more than people think, and it is something to remember when you judge a trans person.

Probably. But also people who are mentally ill probably have an underlying physiological condition fuking with their brain. Did that ever occur to you guys?

So...you're saying they need medical help to correct their mental illness? Who is arguing against that except SJWs?

We just don't know exactly how the brain works. As I said, mental activities are physical in nature and have to do with the functioning of the brain.) Regarding the exact percentage of people who are trans that have DSD, I don't know, but I know it is high. Supposedly gender dysphoria occurs in 1/30,000 male births and 1/100,000 female births. Meanwhile, one in 1,666 births are not XX or XY. And one 1/130,000 births has partial androgen insensitivity syndrome.

http://www.isna.org/faq/frequencythis is just intersex/DSD. This would imply that a significant portion of people who everyone calls "trannies" (people with some sort of gender reassignment surgery/hormones) are also intersex. It is difficult to find the exact statistics, but what I showed you can be used to estimate the number.
you are making a grave mistake conflating intersex with transgenders, intersex is the term used to describe those with hormonal/physical abnormalities and it's range isbroad. You would be skinned alive if you tried to make the point that even a signifigant amount of trans individuals are intersex, what you have to understand in context with the trans community is that they of all people are the biggest advocates that it is a mental dilemma with a physical solution (i have a males body but I feel like I was born to be a female). Your argument is physical abnormalities are a relatively significant reason someone decides to become transgender right? let's say you were to start taking hormone blockers and estrogen do you think that would make you want to become a woman? Or if you put a girl on testosterone and hormone blockers she would choose to identify as male?

this is beyond stupid point to take, brb those with mental issues aren't actually mentally ill they are just physically ill with mentally ill symptoms

i'm fairly certain I am one of the on the forum that tries to understand the condition and actually spent time reading into and understanding it and the point of view of those individuals, and I also am one of the few here who happens to know someone who identifies as trans personally. This is why your pretentious chit is so infuriating to read, you're talking down on others when you posted the most ignorant chit i've read on here about trans people in a long time. To imply that trans people have a syndrome or undiagnosed syndrome that makes them decide to become the other gender is just as ignorant and unfounded as those saying they are mentally disturbed and bound to never fit in society.

Answering questions that nobody asked, countering points that nobody made, and extrapolating findings from researches concerning people with actial physiological disorders, just so you could say that ppl making "attacks" on trans/intersex ppl (which are complelely different things) - on the misc, lol - are uneducated fuking hicks.

Ok.

Do you think most trans people do not see psychologists and psychiatrists for various mental illnesses? A huge number of trans people have depression and are suicidal. I think people should be mindful of the physiological causes that underlie these conditions. And those that like to classify it entirely all as "mental illness" wish to then ignore physiological components because many of them believe we all think with "souls" and not brains, which are actual physical organs, subject to biology. Even if some are due to mental illness, there is a large portion that is due to the disorders I mentioned before. Every single condition you see in humans is fundamentally physiological in nature. Everything a person fuking does is physiological in nature fundamentally. It's all fuking molecules. It's all about how the organs work and if they are functioning within parameters that most people decided was "normal". Something to consider when people bash trannies or call it mental illness.

A person with XXY is still physiologically a male, he was just born with an extra X chromosome. A person with turner's syndrome is still physiologically a female. And this literally has nothing to do with people thinking they are a male trapped in a female's body. Chimerism is a bit weird but you really have to go on a case by case basis with this one.

do you have any proof that there are a lot of "trans" people have this aforementioned condition and that there is proof that this condition actually makes people think that are a different sex? And any literature or statistics on trans people who were actually born hermaphrodites.

Medical student here. Been taught absolutely nothing about transgender stuff as it's a very niche part of medicine, however OPs post intrigued me and I have skimmed through a few systematic reviews online. Clearly there would be no single biological factor that can cause gender dysphoria and OP is not saying that intersex directly causes gender dysphoria, but you'd be wrong to ignore the association. It is such an extremely complex thing that I imagine doctors and scientists still don't really understand much about, however biological, social and psychological factors are all believed to influence gender identity.

From what I've read, the sexual differentiation of the brain occurs after genital differentiation. Making it conceivable that gender dysphoria in patients without an intersex condition could be due to a brain-limited intersex condition - of which there is virtually no understanding of so far. This would mean that the transgender people who do not have a physical intersex condition, may have one that is solely to do with their brain. Now whether you want to classify that as a mental illness is another debate entirely...

I'm trying to understand what you're trying to argue OP. You talk about trannies and then most of the OP is just listing a bunch of mental disorders and then physical maladies involving chromosomes and then you get mad that people say that they have mental issues?

Are you ok man? you seem rambling and incoherent

That's not what I am saying. And also there are a large number of intersex people who end up undergoing reassignment surgery or taking hormones. Doesn't that make them trans?

My argument is physical abnormalities must be what make people transgender, yes. I think if you took the right hormone blockers or genes, they would, yes. But we don't know exactly what those are. That's why the mental side of it doesn't usually work well. The brains are noticeably different.

Theoretically, if we knew the exact combination of factors to use and genes to turn on and off, and used gene therapy, you could make a man into a woman or vice versa. You could even grow fuking additional limbs, eyes, horns, wings...That's how genetics works. We aren't there yet scientifically. The use of estrogen, testosterone, and whatever other blockers we use is a crude approach because we don't know the details.

Have you ever seen a teratoma bro? It can grow out brain matter, teeth, hair, bone...You could flick the right switches and grow out all kinds of weird chit if you knew what you were doing. We don't know what we are doing, yet. We only discovered DNA was the genetic information in 1928.

Never said it was normal. Learn to read. I said it was an inevitable failure of a physical process. Embryonic development is never perfect.

Finally a nonretarded poster. I actually take the position that mental illness is entirely physical in nature. We think with our brains. Even an otherwise healthy brain can be exposed to traumatic stimuli and become unhealthy and exhibit a mental illness. This is what we see in stress and trauma induced psychosis and depression. Hopefully, your post clears things up for the rabble.

What is your definition of traumatic stimuli? Do you mean a physical impact which leads to injury?

What about a non-physical traumatic such as conditioning like witnessing a loved on being physically abused or a person being subjected to continuous verbal harassment from their peer group or from a parent?

How's about chemical imbalances or delayed onset of mental illness caused by degeneration of the brain?

And why are you taking such a violent stance against the masses of people who post here in terms of our mental capacities based on one person who is likely a medical student* based on a claim they made on the internet?

*Note, they probably a medical student.

They have a specific definition for traumatic stimuli. They refer to things like surviving sexual assault, watching your friend die in war, etc as "trauma". It doesn't need to be a physical thing, such as a traumatic brain injury. Believe it or not, these stimuli can elicit changes in gene expression in the brain that then result in what we call "chemical imbalances", or which could be viewed as adaptations to the traumatic stimuli. As you mentioned, there could also be genetic factors that develop later on, either triggered by some stimuli or due to the slow build up of some sort of dysfunction that eventually results in systemic changes in how a person thinks.

My stance isn't "violent". I just love riling up all the fuks here. My post is valid though, and hopefully people learned something and will consider this the next time they read about or encounter a tranny or consider trans issues.

I didn't say I was a medical student just to claim some kind of authority over everyone else in this thread, so don't take what I say as gospel in the slightest. Infact I had very little prior knowledge in this field before I came to this thread. Just thought my medical opinion after having read a few articles may help to clear up a few things.

What is a tranny according to you guys? Cuz to me it is a person who undergoes gender reassignment or takes hormones because they feel they need it to become the gender they identify as. Is that not what a transgender person is? You guys are acting like intersex people who undergo these things are not transgender. Then what is a transgender person, according to you? Historically, intersex meant ambiguous genitals, which means a lot of the conditions I listed wouldn't be counted as intersex. But people with those conditions still take hormones or undergo gender reassignment. So, how the fuk do they not count as trans?

What about stuff like this?

https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...0524112351.htm

"Brain activity and structure in transgender adolescents more closely resembles the typical activation patterns of their desired gender, according to findings to be presented in Barcelona, at the European Society of Endocrinology annual meeting, ECE 2018. These findings suggest that differences in brain function may occur early in development and that brain imaging may be a useful tool for earlier identification of transgenderism in young people."

Sometimes, we like to argue it was stimuli, but you have to realize stimuli elicit actual physiological changes in brain function. Exposure to those stimuli can actually fuk your brain up PHYSICALLY. This is the entire basis of medical treatment of depression, for example.
You act like trans people (who have the same brain and 99.9% biological makeup as anyone else) are so fragile they can be altered by stimuli in some non reversible way. There are thousands of things a nature vs. nurture argument can't prove to the absolute degree in what is considered an "average" or "normal" heterosexual child or adult. Why the fuk are you entering this rabbit hole on trans people in a bodybuilding forum?

This.Especially in this forum, it's like trying to tell a river which way to flow.

I have mild hypospadias, which IS an intersex condition even though some still deny it. In extreme cases of hypospadias the opening of the urethra is behind the scrotum and there are signs of a vagina and uterus. My opening is right below the hole at the end of my dick, so I basically have two holes. My testosterone levels are above average though so is my dick size. It's not just about the dick however, hypospadias means there was an androgen deficiency in the womb. In basic terms, all babies start off female and hypospadias means the baby didn't fully develop 100% into a male though they can still be 99.9% male in every way. The only physical sign evident in me is that I can barely grow any facial hair in my mid-twenties, though my dad has a full beard. I've also always had trouble relating to men. I don't feel like a man and I definitely don't feel trans or female. I identify as gender-neutral, though I am mainly sexually attracted to women with a minor attraction to men.

I do know the likely reason I ended up this way, my mom is a hardcore vegetarian and research shows women who are vegetarian during pregnancy are five times more likely to give birth to a son with hypospadias.

Those are drag queens, which are almost never trans.
Drag queens act and dress so flamboyantly because it's not real, they're dudes putting on an act for the sake of the performance. Completely different from having gender dysphoria or being born with both sex charactaristics.
