The question is whether or not episodes 5 and 6 will be the “Last Jedi” of game of thrones.
I am talking about the classics bro

I have no idea what youre talking about because I wasn't retarded enough to watch the new versions in the first place since im not a cuck.

Never even gave that SJW feminist interracial anti-white male garbage a chance.

Not the best story telling. All this sacrifice and somehow Dany still isn't trusted.

I think she earned her entitlement at this point. I used to hate her around season 3 or 4 but not anymore.
Oh I thought bad pussy the person, not the actual line.

Like the scene with Bronn.

yeah I cringed at the term "bad pussy" -but in a horny way

My thoughts:

Going into the last two episodes, I'm looking forward to see what happens and how it ends. However for the past 2 years I've been counting down the days until this final season started, I was so fuking excited. That's how disappointing the first four episodes have been. Why is that? Basically the entire season 7 was about the impending doom of the white walkers. Think about what the big events were... the (idiotic) plan to kidnap a wight to get Cersei to help in the war against the WWs. Then the big event was the NK killing a dragon and bringing it back as a zombie dragon. What was the next big event? Probably the final scene of the NK/dragon breaking down the wall. Really what else happened? Some cringy scenes between Euron and Cersei, some boring coniving between Sansa, Arya, and Littlefinger, some incest sex between Jon and Dany. Season 7 was entirely about the impending doom of the WWs. Going even further, the entire first two episodes of season 8 were literally all about the impending doom of the WWs. And then what happens? Arya stabs the guy in the stomach and it's all over. I believe that was the most disappointing thing in the history of cinema. I don't know what kind of twists may still be coming, but I am just not as excited about the final two episodes as I should be, and that's really disappointing.

Technically the show stopped being Game of Thrones once it surpassed the books, just like how Star Wars isn't Star Wars anymore without George Lucas. One cannot separate the creation from the artist, they are one.

1. The whole show is a drama between scenes of characters, like a play format, and the drama plays our over the characters. Now to heighten the cost of whats at stake between the characters, they added in the NK and impending doom, they added dragons and fantasy elements. But those are just back drops. Like fancy decorations on the actual meal. Technically they didnt need the NK or the dragons or wolves. and the story would have been relatively the same, minus a few season 7 detours. This whole show would have been amazing quality either way. But think of those as bonuses. which is why such a battle is only one episode, because its not a war epic. Nor a zombie apocalipse movie. those are just icings on the cake. it was up to you to not get too invested in JUST those gimmicks made to draw in the masses of nerds along with others.

2. Thats like being 80 years old and saying youre not sure youre excited about the next decade of your life.... hmmm.... I wonder if its... because its the end. its about to be over, and all the episodes dont serve anything but to close out the story. Which is always just meh. Wouldn't you rather be young again?

Make sense?

It's actually silly how many people put 100% emphasis on GoT politics, but don't watch other political shows. Which is why that argument is COPE.

God so true. The problem is that the writers seem to be building the interactions from an omniscient perspective. The average viewer has way more faith in Jaime than any northerner should because we've seen his arc. The writers are basically applying that audience perspective to the northerners in the show.

Realistically, some northerner would have tried to kill him by now for what he did to the Starks.

Nah, Jon sending Ghost packing and riding Rhaegal was just to show how he is letting go of the cold north Stark was and accepting and growing in to his new hot dragon Targaryan ways. Nah, that's reading to much in to it. Fooking BS not even giving Ghost one last head scratch.

.
Its not a political show. Like all dramas its about the characters, the people, and the allegorical commentaries on the nature of the human condition. Its no different in delivering what you would have in a play in a theater. Set pieces and scenes of dialogue between characters. Thats what made the show great.

the other stuff was just background flavor. 99% of the scenes in the show could be done in a theater play. where its just people in a room or setting playing out the drama with scenes of dialogue.

this implied tone is like the main reason people hold the action scenes and episodes to such high standards and the writers dont seem to care as much because those things are secondary to the main character development. Just like in plays, lots of things are kinda implied or glossed over, so the same way you wouldn't get mad at a play for having an anemic action sequence, you shouldn't get mad at GoT for not being a proper action blockbuster through and through, since its not even the point of the show, and should be considered a bonus. so people focus too much on the bonus elements when theres not much time for all that. And when we do get it, its something artful or different, not just action.

Its like saying the fight choreography in a play wasnt convincing or "realistic"

But it was political - just with magical elements obviously, but then people used "back to politics" as an argument against the entire WW plotline.

The show is heavily inspired by Renaissance politics, but fuk me if most of those "muh politics" people have seen The Tudors or The Borgias. Or even stuff like House of Cards.

Yeah but more specifically the nature of the human relationships of those rich/powerful people back in old England. The nature of humans, their flaws, weaknesses/strenghts, the human lust for power, the betrayals, the deception, the desperation. What they do with that power, and how even back then the things they were all about were allegorical to what we are ultimately still all about deep down. And all of the nuance and detail of those interpersonal relationships. The devastating real life consequences of their actions etc....

fuk off with the spoilers man.

Just repeating what the spoilers are about over and over again is a form of spoiler.

Now I can just think about what people want or dont want and start to reverse engineer what it might be and cancel out potential ending possibilities because of those clues by form of deduction of what it could be.

Giving your opinion on if the spoilers are good or bad is a ****ing spoiler, at least use spoiler tags when referencing that stuff, nobody who isn't spoiled wants to talk about that..

People who read spoilers are idiots anyway. Go start a diff spoiler thread to talk about it even if its what you think about the spoilers and if they are good or not. Thats already too much information so screw off with that

It 100% started out like that and that's what GRRM intended for, but the character drama has sucked in the past couple seasons which is why the interest in the white walkers had taken off. I think it was all when Tywin died, after that point Tyrion, Varys, and Littlefinger all became shells of what they were and there were no more interesting characters left.

I dunno, thats what it was. Whats left is the conclusion. Conclusions are often empty.

Like the only endings that were ever epic, were probably profound lamentations on some super potent mega theme. Something that makes you high off life and would have to be soo soo masterful. A thesis about something base and beautiful that goes deep into the heart of something everyone feels.

But for every one of those that exists, is 10 others that tried to do that and fell chronically flat.

If you cant nail the thesis and emotional resonance to an epic epic degree, its best to just not try.

The worst part of the SJW elements of the writers is that that thesis will probably be not something we even agree with as a lesson. Like I said, some anti American at its core sentiment.

So even if thats attempted at, it won't work.

So the likely solution is to have a basic ending "melancholy" ending. Something anti male. Anti hero. Empowering to cucks and females. the bar people.

Im trying to think of movies that nailed such a thing in the good sense...

No ending is ever as good as the journey

You spoiled the fact that its not a good ending.

So while otherwise I might have been hopeful going into an episode, now my mindset will be tainted by the fact that people who spoiled themselves dont like it and I will go in with pre conceived expectations that fundamentally change how I approach watching the episode and what I expect to happen or not happen.

You seem too stupid to realize that it affects other people point of view and how they approach watching the episode.

just cant stop fuking talking about it right on the edge of spoiling right? Thats literally the motivation of everyone who ever spoils a show, they are desperate to share what they know to retarded extents and just cant keep their mouth shut despite nobody wanting to know about what happens before they watch.

Sand snake titties was one of the best scenes ever. Those episodes blew chunks though!

Considering how divisive this season is, one person saying it’s a bad ending isn’t much of a spoiler at all. It’s up for interpretation.

Thats already too much information so screw off with that
even though this has been a terrible season, agree with this.

It doesn't really matter what happens because it will only happen for at most two episodes.

Dude is trolling at this point. Just arguing to argue. Watches the show, doesn't understand the ghost memes. K.

This show is kinda like Star Wars for me. I used to be a Star Wars mega-fan before the Disney sequels.

The Force Awakens was pretty bad (i.e episodes 1 and 2 of this season of GOT) but it was still possible that The Last Jedi could make up for it. But we all know how that turned out. Because of TLJ, I now absolutely hate Star Wars.

The question is whether or not episodes 5 and 6 will be the “Last Jedi” of game of thrones.
To be honest, GoT Season 7 was like the Star Wars Prequels for me. Thought it was mostly dumb AF, but at least had some cool visuals/scenes. It damaged the overall story permanently though.
Episode 3 of this season was TLJ for me. It broke the story for me. If there was another season of GoT coming, I would stop watching.
