I couldn’t set foot in Canada with an OUI on my record but they’re the first to judge us for wanting a wall.


Can anyone explain this double standard? How are we cruel for not wanting illegal immigrants using our resources?

My personal belief is that right-wing Americans have a difficult time articulating the strong points of immigration control without coming across as racist. If there is a really intelligent right winger who comes across as sympathetic, genuine and articulates the problems mass immigration is causing and how they can humanely address it then they will win a lot of hearts and minds on both sides of the aisle.

Ironically, more socialist countries like Japan have an easier time justifying strict immigration policy because they put the welfare of the entire country often before the unfettered rights and freedoms of the individual. America is far more individualist and suddenly the GOP is trying out nationalism because Trump tapped into a growing outrage that people feel. Most of the problems people think are due to immigration are actually caused by disastrous trade deals that help capitalists like Trump get cheap labor overseas instead of hiring Americans.

A separate journalist has revealed Kol***e and his wife created a mentoring program for wounded veterans, but kept the cash from the fundraiser themselves rather than provide any help to service members.

Kol***e had promised that his border wall project could raise $1 billion, and that groundbreaking on the wall could begin between May 1 and June 1. So far, it appears that’s not the case.
