it's exactly the type of clothes I'd expect a hippster ******* to be wearing in a craft brewery drinking a beer with so many hops it burns your throat and thinking that's what makes a good beer.
Add a tweed sport-coat with elbow patches and hiking boots and you have the same ******* stepping off the limo bus at the pumpkin farm afraid to step in the dirt.

the more I think about it, the more I want to punch that guy in the face then donate his shirt to a bistro so they can use it as a table cloth for their patio.

I wear plaid when I do rural things and is isn't that type of plaid either.

Would go with a solid color shirt myself.
Pants are ok except they look like "skinny" types.
I actually have dessert boots similar to those I like.

I don't mind the shirt. It's the socks and boots thing that's really hipster. And please kill me if I ever wear suspenders for fashion.

I usually just dress casual and wear a fitted shirt like a v neck, crew neck, henley and 3/4 raglan shirt with straight legged pants. I don't dress like a slob nor do I overdo if I'm just going to a store or out to eat for example. I got alot of dress shirts though so maybe I should wear them more often like at church for example.

Plus I got high canvas shoes and desert boots I can wear.

semi-know that feel. I got a promotion a couple years back after a bit of hardship (needed every. single. qualification met) and they recently hired two people who know even less than I did when they started. The rules only applied to me, I guess. The corporate world is lame

I actually own 1 shirt with that type of pattern.
I wear it to country concerts at bars whenever my friends pick that to do.
that's also the only time I wear my thrift store cowboy boots.
And I only order Budweiser.
Loudly.

I've had stuff like that happen my entire career, people getting promoted etc. for brown-nosing or checking off corporate boxes and playing office politics. However, my pride is more important to me than anything else, even if it 'costs' me at times.

It's also human nature to notice unfairness when someone else gets beneficial treatment over you. However we rarely notice the opposite (i.e. when we get some benefit in some area of life, where someone else doesn't). We tend to attribute our own successes to competency alone.

I think they sense that I'm "burned out" and looking/applying at other places, but it's still chitty. Like last year a girl got promoted and left a month later. She left on a whim leaving me with projects she didn't finish. I kept my emotions in check so I wouldn't seem like a whiny kunt. I was hoping for a bigger raise at least, but nope.

SS is in love with her fwb.

I mean if it's someone who had kids then it will make sense to talk about stuff like that but to us people who don't have kids (which is a hella of a lot of people) we're not concerned about your family problems especially if we can't relate.

I swear one of these days I'm gonna be like "Sorry but I don't give a fuk about your kid" just to see how they react.

So glad I bounced to the Sales side of the corporate world a few years back. No more arguing for raises or trying to justify to managers why I am a high performer and should be paid more. Nice easy objective numbers to look at and show who is excelling and who isn't, plus your pay is directly tied to those numbers. Never going back.

I don't mind that outfit, but it would look way better on a nice buff body. That guy is too skinny.

As for athleisure type clothing, I do like it on a fit guy, but there is a time and place for it.
