Little pump rifle--ended up taking about 25 pumps to get enough ooomph for an effective headshot.
So, I think I'll probably look to pick up a pellet/bb gun of my own to have around. Haven't shot one since I was about 12 . . . so I'm not up on the latest. Any recommendations on one? I'm thinking pistol for convenience, but might also consider a shorter rofl. Is pump better than CO2? Is pellet or bb better for good sized rabbits? This one was pretty small and bb worked after the first failed shot at lower # of pumps, but would pellet penetrate/kill more effectively?

I put down a diseased squirrel a few years back with a pump bb gun and pumped it to the max on the first shot and missed low and hit it in the leg and it took about 15 shots later all over the damn thing to make it stop twitching and die

I just use an axe for crippled animals bigger than a mouse that the dogs get. Or when they fall out of a tree and break their back. Shovel works too if you keep a nice edge on it, most don't.

Black bears never really give me pause, but this is the Deebo of Black bears. 400 lbs plus easy.
He stopped in front of my ATV with a trailer and blocked all view of it. He made the ATV look small
I put up all the guns before I went to JRTC so went to safe in garage to grab a rifle. Wanted to catch him on that side of house and run him off.
Wasn’t able to.

Wildlife and Fisheries tell residents here to not fuk with them - not even to try and run them off. They're skiddish though. As soon as they see or hear you they run off. Even the monster size ones like that. Wildlife and Fisheries have caught a few that were ~400lbs around their house. They tag them then let them go in other less populated areas. They show back up weeks - months later.

Some lady got bit by a black bear on a trail near Boulder the other day . . . apparently was not serious. Saw the bear, made some noise but did not move away and just watched the bear go by--then it turned and charged and bit her and it ran away again.

Legit question: Who here believes we will see a civil war? And have you been 'stocking up' for it? And if so, what do you actually plan to do about it?
Edit: This isnt a gotcha btw you paranoid bastards. Personally I believe its only going to get worse. And as far as preparing for it ... well you kinda just have to live through something like that I suppose. Or you dont.

Went to gym, put my gun (holstered) into back pack which I then carry backpack around with me in gym.
After done at gym I go get in my car, pull gun (and holster) out of back pack. As I'm going to put holster on belt (appendix IWB) I see that there's a big ass ugly spider just chilling inside the emitter/glass area of my RMR. Startled the hell out of me. Lmao if I would've stuck that into my pants.
I tried to grab and unlock my phone with my off hand to quickly take a picture of the bastard spider, but couldn't in time. The spider crawled out of emitter area and inside the holster suppressor sight channel. So I unholstered gun, then spider crawled out onto the outside of holster then I smashed that ****er.
Idk what kind of spider it was, it was kind of gray, probably slightly bigger than a quarter dollar. Looked like a Male black widow.
Bastard must have been chilling inside my back pack, or... in my pants yikes lmao
Pics for reference

I was hunting a snake the other day with 12ga 00 buck lol. Got home and the wife said she saw a big snake in the orchard. The 12 was the closest gun to me so I grabbed it. Didn’t find him but I think I found his home.

Got my Blue Alpha EDC belt in the mail today as well as the Concealment Express IWB KYDEX Holster...
Love the belt, hated the holster at first until I realized there is a retention adjustment to make it easier / more silent to pull out and now I love it.
I have heard it's not very comfortable though, has anyone had any experience with DeSantis SOF-TUCK holster?
