never heard all the stuff about Baristan Selmys actor so i just went and read it and lol.

While i do understand why it would piss off a writer if an actor kept telling you how to do your job, their reaction of “it only made us want to kill him off more” is really telling. They are petty kunts, clearly

Tbh Bran becoming king was retarded though, why the **** would that cripple be a better king than Jon f*cking Snow. Also it felt a bit rushed, tbh. They put too much actions into Episode 3 & 6, and the others were too boring. Could've spread the action out more, and honestly Jamie's character development went down the f*cking toilet as well.

They're going to make some spinoffs though, so maybe there's still hope for them to redeem themselves. We'll just have to wait and see, though.
Bran being King actually makes total sense to me. what doesnt make sense was when he said “why do you think i came all the way down here” and smiled. The ONLY way that makes sense is if Bran was expertly 4d chessing the game of thrones this ENTIRE time and was not actually the 3er who gives zero fuks about anything but retaining histories. But we know thats not true.

Having a King who knows everyones dirty secrets and goings-ons of the world and has no real emotion and is purely logical makes total sense IMO

I'm 100% convinced there would have been a massive fan outcry regardless of the ending.

If Jon Snow was Azor Ahai and 1vs1'd the Night King no probs and sat on the Iron Throne while banging a sane Dany then everyone would complain about the predictable, Disney ending.

Go back in the thread and read some of the posts about "how I would write this episode". They're awful, every fkkin one I read was absolutely retarded and usually involved a bunch of stuff out of absolutely nowhere.

I don't think this season was perfect by a long shot but most of you are just biching for the sake of biching.

In a parallel universe it makes sense. But in the world they wrote it doesn't because:

-Only a few people know about his powers, which lets be honest are the biggest reason it makes sense for him to be king
-For the rest that don't know, he has no other credentials
-He did nothing in the last 2 conflicts
-He expressed no interest in the throne
-The council assembled in the Dragon Pit was completely unbelievable (Greyworm stacks the council against himself, lmao wat?)
-Tyrion, a man imprisoned for fukin inspiring Regicide, was somehow allowed to have a say in it
-The army holding the city just fuks off and goes home when they don't need to

So for those reasons, it really DOESN'T make sense in how it played out. But yes Bran has the qualities of an effective King provided he actually starts using his powers.

Try and find the books on tape. This guy in the video below does them super good. I read the book as well but something about this guys voice.

Nice I'm looking for that one now. Right now I can only find audiobooks by Melissa Strum (she sounds alot like Shae). It's not bad but could be better.

i mean if it's done well i don't think people would care, showrunners went for the "unexpected" ending and butchered everything that was setup in the earlier seasons in the process, shows how quality over unpredictability is favored, case in point LoTR.

I started rewatching the series today. Things I noticed after S1E1

- So much easier to follow now that I know the characters. I couldn't keep track of them in the beginning
- It took 30 days to travel from KL to Winterfell, but in S8 they're teleporting all over the place
- You can definitely tell they didn't have much to work with production wise
