I don't think I've ever dated a girl who had what I would call a hobby now that I think of it. When they did activities, it was always something I got them into and they did it more for me than because they were genuinely interested and it never lasted long. Then they complain that they are bored and want you to take them out like it's you're job to entertain them.
Honestly I have no idea what they even do all day other than Netflix or talk on the phone.

Also how to you know how to find Amish/Mennonite families? Do you just show up to trade with them? And what do they trade you for?
Honestly this just opened up a whole wormhole of questions because I've legit never met anyone from an Amish community before and didn't know there were any nearby.

Fuk no I didn't follow the damn instructions. They were chit and it was physically impossible to do what they said and have the project end up like the picture. I spent the first hour using the instructions and the other 5 fixing chit that was wonky and fukd up because of the retarded instructions

I do a lot of scroll sawing. Its my primary artform.
It oddly has quite a few women involved in it who are actually pretty good at it too. Would not think using a saw would be something they would like but maybe because its smaller or something, dont know for sure.

I'm into Aquascaping, it is definitely male dominated hobby.
Probably because its not exactly instant gratification.

I had 2 thoughts:
Perhaps because men's and women's hobbies don't overlap very much, from the man's perspective it only seems like there are fewer female hobbyists because his circles mostly have men.
Or, because men are more 'thing'-oriented, and women tend to be more people-oriented, men naturally gravitate toward making and doing things, while women spend more time socializing. From an evolutionary perspective, this makes sense. Men who make things and develop skills are better positioned to reproduce, while the same is not true for women, who benefit more from reinforcing their social circles to better nurture their children.

I guess that's why men have invented just about everything. Their brains are more apt to hyper focus on things and learn everything about it and how it can be improved.

Skiing is one thing I've gotten someone into that we both could really get good at and enjoy because we both loved it and doing it together is much better - even if one person is much better than the other.
