You paid $60 for a magazine? Well, that's your failure do you also pay $1/round for 9mm JHP?

I will probably get a P10C soon. Needs to be threaded so I can buy Relent's Comp. Don't want to keep spending money on Holsters though.

Need to get KT Mech to make me another OWB holster for my VP9

Holsters are as ongoing an expense as ammo and mags

couldnt you simply switch the trigger on the vp9, or is that feature limited to rifles and such? but if youre telling me its objectively better and cheaper lol say no more.

where do you buy your ammo for it?

You can't just switch triggers in pistols like you can with an AR type rifle. Those are all really the same rifle with the same trigger, only the VP9 (and VP9SK) have the VP9 trigger. You can't switch between different makes or models of guns (with the AR's they are different makes but all the same design so parts are interchangeable). Swapping triggers between like a VP9 and a P10c or a Glock would be like putting an AR15-style trigger into a Ruger Mini 30

How do you think Larry Vickers lost all that weight? Word is intentionally ingested tapeworms to induce his trademarked oily diarrhea. That oily diarrhea has been patented, bottled, and sold as a weapons lubricant. it is becoming a major revenue stream for H&K, since they are using it on all their OEM magazines.

Meatie is a cancerous blight on this thread. Please ignore him for any kind of serious advice.

My sister in law needed a reliable gun for defending her life in a rough neighborhood. A P10C is on its way to being the default recommendation for MFC. Buy a case of 9mm and a training class with a competent instructor and ****ing shoot.

When in doubt buy Federal American Eagle or Speer Lawman, or CCI Blazer Brass, FMJ, 115gr or 124gr or 147gr, in case (1,000 round) quantities

Amazing how often that happens to people with any amount of pressure at all...yet you get the crowd who guarantees it will never be forgotten in a life or death situation (dis or re engaging)
For certain people it probably is better, for me and my stubby fingers, it's a mother ****er. I have to shift my grip if I use my thumb, which I absolutely hate doing, and I was too lazy to try to learn how to naturally use my finger. I'll take my shadow 2 with zero movement of my grip, along with a regular capacity magazine.

It likely could've held at least one more round with as loose as they are, 17 would be ideal. HK was close but ****ed a lot of things up that could've actually been what the people wanted.

As far as the paddle release, by all means I see the utility for some, but I found it irritating, acting like it's superior in every case is hilariously ignorant. If it were the better option period, they wouldn't have bothered with a push button and other manufacturer's would be following suit a lot faster.

Currently in hospital with wife. Her arms swelled up severely over the past few days. Looks like the Michelin man. Think we just hit it too hard last week.

A week ago we hit:

Friday: weights
Sat: 13mi run
Sun: 1.2mi swim
Mon: Murph Challenge
Wed: weights
Thursday: weights
Friday: run

And she got rhabdo. Normal CK levels are 22-198. Her current CK level is 36,000. Currently pumping her full of fluid to flush the blood protein and monitoring her kidney/liver function as this can cause kidney failure.

Gonna sleep in the hospital room tonight and work from the hospital room tomorrow.

Anyone here ever have rhabdo?

How much time/many times did you try with middle or index fingers on the paddle?

Smart manufacturers make what people will buy. Smart professional or serious enthusiast pistol shooters will choose pistols with as much consistency in operation and controls as possible, so shooters who are already firmly entrenched with their second nature training on button mag releases who have and will continue to use other pistols with button mag releases are probably more likely to buy...a button mag release...for consistency. Doesn't mean that that paddle isn't inherently better, but if you shot for years without ever using one, well, people hate change sometimes.

If you want to judge which is "better", put even a small fraction of the time that you have thumbing a button into using a paddle the right way and report back after.

A guy at the academy got it and ****ed him up (prevented him from even looking at PT) for quite awhile, had to get recycled to the next class. Instructors acted like it was 100% his fault for simply not drinking enough water but, and I'm no doc, I'm pretty sure it's not just a matter of drinking enough water or not (and he swore he hydrated the piss out of himself literally). Instructors did back off on the insanity of the PT. Kind of. Briefly. But not really lol.

I did try both fingers, and I disliked it/didn't save any time over finding a pistol that had a mag release in a position that I don't have to shift my grip to hit. I started out with this as my first pistol and have the most time with this over any other pistol yet to date that I own and quite honestly if there was a real method of keeping track of who's done what, would put money on having more time in on dry fire/live fire than you do with yours in the same time frame. I still didn't like it as much as a conventional release, and refuse to put more effort into something that doesn't need to be an issue when something is already readily available and just as quick. Sorry that you feel attacked about the release still not being ideal, have fun stroking the paddle as much as you do yourself.

Also, please show me any greatly successful competitive shooter that actually uses a paddle release, they'll do damn near anything for faster times and more efficiency. If nothing else, you should get on brianenos and tell everyone about how wrong they are for not switching to a gun with a paddle release.

Rhabdo's no joke . . . it's the official hospital-bound syndrome for crossfitters (especially new crossfitters who go too hard too soon before they're acclimated to intense training). As far as I understand, it's your muscles actually breaking down (dying) and polluting your bloodstream. That chit can jack you up for a long time. Every now and then you hear about it hitting college athletes . . . a couple Nebraska football players got it last year and a bunch of Oregon footbal players got it in the last few years.

Hope your wife has a speedy recovery. Gonna take some time to get back to normal, most likely. Throws your body for a loop but that was smart to get her to the hospital.

Instructors did back off on the insanity of the PT. Kind of. Briefly. But not really lol.

Recovery to physical activity...it be long.

Anyone here ever have rhabdo?
hope things turn out well and sooner rather than dragging on for a long time. sleeping at a hospital is the worst.

The most recent article I read about rhabdo was explaining how one of the more common activities leading to rhadbo was people going to spin class for their first time, or just getting back into it. stay safe, spinners.
