That's enraging to watch. He is going like 5x the speed limit and doesn't even brake. How drunk were they? 1 person now doesn't get to live a full life and this idiot gets to maybe serve a couple of years in jail at most - where I am anyway. There are cases of people texting on their phone, slamming and killing half a family and only getting a few years in prison - some people don't even serve prison time for drunk driving accidents if it's a first time.

If someone did that to a close friend or family of mine I would wait until they are out, take them to an abandon place and ask them which limb they would like to keep. Hopefully California isn't too spineless to not give this person the harshest sentence possible.

Punishments on the whole for road fatalities/injuries from drink driving, texting etc need increasing and more sentences carried out in full.

And aren’t the death penalty’s high costs due to bleeding hearts allowing them many appeals and deeming every cost effective execution method “inhumane”

If we’re 100% sure someone committed a crime I don’t see why the death penalty should be off the table, it’s usually reserved for the worst criminals anyway
