Not sure how it is most places but this past week the local municipalities started putting down fresh oil and chips on random roads with no signage. Ride today was a puckerfest.

I've been reading about different bikes and haven't made much a decision. I'm looking for something sporty. I was decidedly on a 600 and of course others said that was too much, so I'm looking at other bikes like 650s
Would a Honda CBR650F be a good bike? I was also looking at the Suzuki SV650. CBR looks better imo

I just installed sliders on my CBR but opted for the no-cut style.

I took time to do a projector retrofit to my CBR. Completed it a few days ago with a morimoto d2s 5.0 projector and components from the retrofitsource.
Here’s some pics.

This is probably the most ROI mod made so far outside of tank grips/sliders.
That cut off with extra light is dope AF as I ride down the streets at night.

The head of the MA RMV resigned over this tragedy.
"Massachusetts Department of Transportation Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack said in a statement that the RMV failed to act on information provided by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles about a May 11 incident involving Zhukovskyy that should have cost him his license. As a result, she accepted the resignation of Erin Deveney."
god I hate this state government.
I am seriously thinking about selling the bike and being done with this.
Saw 3 cars run a red yesterday while people were in a crosswalk. Too many drivers have their faces buried in cell phones too.

Come retire in CA, CHP issued new laws where its ILLEGAL to interfere with motorcycles lane splitting.
CA is GOAT for riding about to hit the streens now
Just Cuck city if you don't live in CA. You could die anytime, might as well be doing something enjoyable!

Thought I'd join in since I'm gonna enter the club in 2/3 weeks or so.. (Posted this in the sticky thread as well, but this one is more lively by the looks of it :-))
Just got my license and currently trying out multiple bikes.. Had a shortlist of what I'd like to try and maybe buy
- Ducati Monster (797/821) (2017/2018 models)
- Yamaha MT-09 SP (2018 Model)
- KTM 790 Duke (2018 Model)
- Kawasaki Z900 Performance (2019 Model)
Rode all for tests but the MT-09 at this point, got that planned for wednesday.
Can safely say that the Ducati will not make the cut because it's just to small (I'm 6'4, 230lbs) and the 797 seems to be lacking the power, so I'd have to get a 821 which significantly increases the costs over here. Kinda sucks because I like the looks of it.
At this point I'm really torn between the KTM and the Kawa.. Both are very different bikes (2cyl vs 4 cyl) but both have their appeal to me.. Kawa just rides smoothly and has plenty of power it seems with a smooth build-up, but the KTM has that low-end RPM punch that makes it real fun in/out of corners.. But I can see it getting a bit uncomfortable for longer rides on highways etc.
Anyone here has some more experience with either of these bikes (including the MT-09 as well for now) with points that I should be aware of?
Thanks already!

If you're doing city riding or high traffic riding though I wouldn't recommend it as the starter motor on the early 821s was pure trash and won't start the bike if its really warm.
Mine has this stupid thing when it gets to its hottest the idle revs just hunt until it stalls and combined with the starter motor issue its hard to get going.
So living in my ****hole city I've had to pull over a bunch of times waiting for my bike to cool down or I'm constantly trying to reve match the hunting at stop lights to keep it from stalling which just produces more heat and sucks more fuel.
Once you hit the twisty mountains though its the best bike I've ever ridden.

Just got back from riding the MT-09, and the 790 again.. MT-09 won’t be the bike for me.. it felt a bit weird, as if you were dropped into corners, little feedback from the bike itself (suspension I guess, have read about that), missed the overall “trust” factor that the KTM/Z900 did provide.
Gonna ride the Z900 again tomorrow..
The thing that gets to me as well a bit..
I can have a Z900 Performance (windshield, duo-seat-cover, Akrapovic exhaust and tankprotection pads, + full Barracuda parts, for less in total then a standard 790.. but that 790 with a TFT-display, up/down quickshifter, corner ABS, and a bunch more of extra’s that come with the standard package..
Freaking choices.. 😫

Bought the KTM 790 Duke, gonna get delivered probably Tuesday
Got a sweet deal overall, 15% discount on the bike itself, and 25% on all the powerparts that I wanted on there..
This is my setup, only thing thats different is the shorter plateholder that I'm getting on there, and the brake/clutch levers are orange/black with the ability to flip up in case the bike falls (or I crash)..
And the blue sticker on the front fender is gone

..can't wait to jump on now

So I clearly have a disease and needs counseling or something...
H2 SX is up for sale. Decided I want to make the switch to a KTM Super Duke GT. My bike is a missile on the highway but I'm not happy with the riding position on long rides, wife isn't fond of it either, and it doesn't handle as sharp as I would like. The SDGT does everything better for the type of riding I do. I must be getting old because comfort, range, handling, etc are becoming a much higher priority than speed.
As you can see above KTM is cutting deals right now.

Everything is awesome. My focus would be bang for buck. Which bikes offers the most for the smallest amount of money. Quick shifters aren't really necessary for street riding, I hear and riding modes that change power output isn't something you have to have either.... I dunno man.. LOL.
I'd personally get the best bike I could afford with an inline 4 that has everything else that I must have. Inline 4 sound like sex with aftermarket exhausts.

Finally signed up for my first track day at the end of the month. Should be interesting. I barely have any miles on this 750. lol
Did manage to score a GPR stabilizer for $200 shipped that should be in later today. #notmad
