Without having actually read the contract, it’s impossible for anyone here to judge if the producers are liable for breach.

I will say that, unlike tort law where damages are awarded for hurt feelings and chit and where punitive damages are awarded, contract disputes do not award punitive damages and the standard for proving the actual dollar amount of damages is high.

These sloots will have to show that
•the producers breached the contract and
•as a result of breach, their reputations have been hurt and
•prove to a jury that the cost of the injury to their reputations is valued at $xxxxx.

Even if damage is done, where the exact value is indeterminate, the courts usually award “nominal damages” of $1. Which I think would be the funniest outcome to this case... they’ve established that they’re cheap whores, so a $1 payoff seems fair.
