As I said in the other dad bod making $1 mil a day vs broke yolked chad thread, many studies have shown that women don't like buff guys. They prefer just lean guys and dad bods over muscular dude. Spend less time in the gym and more time in the classroom, boys.

This is a joke, right? I cannot see a girl dating this dude. Personally, as a former student, I prefer the gym over the classroom. Too many geeks, nerds, and asians there.

To blow out your knees? Herniate some discs? Hell if I know. I stopped lifting a decade ago, converted to dad bod, and now get more attention than ever. You just need to work on your social status and not look disgusting and everything else will fall into place.

If I knew women liked fat and out-of-shape men, then I never would have wasted my time with the gym. I am not gonna lie though, having ASD makes improving social skills almost impossible.

Study is wrong. Thread has cope. Thread has links of body shapes that aren't dadbods. Dadbods are not anyone who isn't ripped. Dadbobs are lifeless spoon bodies with mid-range bf%, an indication or combination of poor genetics or someone giving up. Women preferring dadbods is about as credible as men preferring obese aka thicc women. The reality is a fit woman walks in and every man pays attention, a strong male build walks in and every female thinking dadbods are the GOAT will pay attention.

lol @ using joints as an excuse not to lift. You realize more muscle mass helps with posture and joint longevity as you age? You don't have to be squatting 500lb every day.

Women who publicly say they prefer dadbods are coddling and trying to appeal to these men for attention. They don't and never will prefer that body type.

Blatant cope trying to shift Alpha traits all to a financial side, linking someone who is in the top 0.01% of the male population in terms of success. Nearly any woman would want an upgraded physical version of him if they could. Alpha is also a physical respect commanded from both genders.

Oh and lol "Study" aka we asked some people and now we think these are facts.

Planet Fitness is a gym for ***gots. The only non-low T, non-soyboy I know going to PF is going because his girlfriend wouldn't switch gyms for him. And she's ****ing fine. So of course course he has to be a gentleman.

Planet Fatness needs to pump out fake news studies like this to advertise their image as a gym for fatties and ***gots.

A "study" consisting of a survey done by Planet Fitness, probably exclusively consisting of their clientele, claims that a majority of people favor the results of being a sedentary couch potato who messes around at the gym a few times a month over those of actually putting some effort into fitness. That totally wouldn't be biased at all.

I have yet to meet a single person who looks like they lift even casually that has a membership at the local Planet Fitness. In fact, almost none of them look like they exercise at all. I've met a small handful of long distance running cardiocels who claim to have memberships there, but that's it. It's always been a cheap excuse for 95% of its customers to feel good about messing around at a "gym" a couple times a week (or even month) and make posts about "Going to the gym for a hard workout!!!" on social media.

Yup. The thing is 'dad bod' isn't well defined. From this thread, it is already clear that the 'dad bod' (if this means, men putting on fat) only really works if there's a significant amount of underlying muscle. Otherwise the guy is a skinny fat or outright fat guy, and there is no attraction to that.

I honestly don't know many women (dunno about 19 year old girls, I mean women in their 30s) that lust after guys with no hair on their bodies except head/face, and rocking 8 packs. One woman in her 30s (friend, single, hot) told me that on a Tinder date the guy showed up to this Thai restaurant chugging a protein shake after his workout, and even though she trains a lot she's sick of seeing things like that. I LOL'd. Having said all this, she freely admits that fat (even skinny fat) guys are a total turn off. I think her opinion is rather indicative for many fit/attractive women, just sayin'.

It’s easy to be comfortable in your skin when you’re an AnyFat Susan or Joe Nobody. This is the heard, the majority, the familiar. All of which team up or hate on good looking people or physically fit people.

They should probably not poll a gym whose foundation is built on ‘fit shaming’ strong or non fat fuk people. Just my two cents.

I don't see a problem
More "studies" like that from a "credible" source like Planet Fitness
More soyboys with dad bods which mean less competition for guys who work out and taking care of themselves

I just think there is no true universal definition of dad bod. When I think of it, I think of someone like Leo DiCaprio who looks like an absolute potato. High body fat, no muscle, just yuck.

Didn't think you were advocating for an overweight lifestyle at all! Struggling with weight can be seriously depressing. I just advocate for being fit and healthy. That doesn't mean skinny or ripped. Some people just aren't meant to be super lean and muscular, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try to be healthy.

Meh, I wouldn't give a crap if some guy was drinking his protein shake, as long as he didn't act like an autist during the date. I've told guys before that when meeting for a drink I may just be only having water. I'm not a big drinker and there are times I'd rather not drink my calories. If they're not ok with that, then they're free to cancel or not meet me. shrug.

In my mind a 'Dadbod' is like a builtfat physique, i.e. a guy who was in shape but let himself go a little.

What most people seem to think of as a 'Dadbod' should more rightfully be called a soybod. A guy with skinny limbs and a big potbelly, which is what a lot of men are starting to look like these days.

Very few people know or understand the origins of the term dad bod

I truly pity any man that believes women actually prefer it over a more fit physique. They also prefer “a sense of humor” over a 6 figure salary, right guys???

Lol at the women in this thread saying they prefer chubby Chris Pratt. Women don’t even know what they want it’s hilarious.

You don’t think chubby Chris Pratt is hotter. You are just projecting better dad qualities on him because of body type which is absolutely silly. If you were with the man in no shape or form would you want his chubby self over his shredded self.

Women just don't like seeing their other half looking better than them. Pure jealousy.
How dare you!

Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.
