People usually associate these hard drugs with evil because they associate them with the harmful effects they cause if abused and they associate them with organized crime. Yes, these hard drugs cause very harmful effects if abused, but making them illegal isn't stopping it from being abused. Organized crime is obviously a problem - I personally don't want organized crime to flourish, and I am sure many people would agree with me. But removing organized crime from the drug problem is going to have to involve legalizing it, because what is currently being done is simply not working.I know you guys are always going to make money. That's the nature of the business it is very profitable. It being illegal isn't going to change that because there is a huge market for it. However, it is simply wrong to sell those evil drugs. Period. So if you are going to do that there's needs to be consequences.
This isn't pot, it's not alcohol we are talking about here. It's coke, crack, meth, heroin etc. Those drugs ruin ppls lives...
As far as whether Id like my son or daughter to use pure drugs or adulterated i mean i am guessing the purer it is the more addicting is? So I'm not so sure I'd really care.. They know the risks...

If you think that selling hard drugs to consenting adults is morally wrong, then that is within your own moral compass and I can't argue that you are wrong for that. But the idea that people need to be punished for selling them is a waste of money, resources, and that in and of itself has already ruined many, many lives and families. When Kevin gets sentenced to 12 years for a non-violent drug offence, his family does that time with him. Maybe he has young children who he is not going to be around for. Kevin should have thought about these things before selling drugs, but that doesn't change the fact that other people, by extension, are going to suffer. Continuing to punish people in this same manner just continues the circle of hurt. Change has got to come from somewhere else. It's a much better long-term solution to legalize drugs, remove organized crime from the drug business, make it so unprofitable that street dealers are no longer in the business, and to tackle the problem from the demand side of things.

The war on drugs will never be finished. No such things. Educating folks about it is what's important.

Escobar wasnโt afraid to flaunt his riches. His luxurious multimillion-dollar estate Hacienda Nรกpoles had its own extravagant zoo; he owned high-end cars and apparently ate from solid gold dinner sets.
Today, the ******* trade is booming like never before. ******* production in Colombia reached a record 1,379 metric tons in 2017. Is it morally wrong to sell drugs to consenting adults? In my opinion, yes, it is, depending on the drug. Money is nice but I'm not selling my soul to make it. Now am I saying all drug dealers are evil? No but face it -- a lot are. Look what is going on in Mexico.

what you don't understand is, that the government, aka the big companies behind it, don't give a fk about the people. they are not banning it to save people. they ban it so they can profit from it. Otherwise they would ban fast food chains. People in america are dying everyday from obesity.
drugs are a very powerful tool to incriminate people. people getting 20 years prison for selling weed, that leads to the next problem. the privatization of prisons which is a very lucrative business in the states too.
