What is everyone thinking they will do play style wise? Shooting, combat free, melee?

I think I will go shooting with as many cyber enhancements as I can; the less human I can manage the better.

I want to go Katana/melee with wall running/double jump and improved reflexes for time slowing with a healthy mix of hacking.

No idea yet. I typically go shooter route, but the hacker class sounds really interesting as well. Hopefully when it's closer to launch we can get some overviews of the classes, skill trees, etc.

I'd love to see something like WoW used to have with the website that let you see full skill trees/abilities and pre-plan a build.

I feel that I will be wondering if I am making the right choice every time I spend skill points. Wonder if there will be a way to re-spec or not, would suck to spend hours just to decide you want to do a different build.

I think if they have hacking type playstyle I'd go for that. I'll probably use that stacked with cyber enhancements and melee. Then I'll go all out gun carnage on my second play through.

I'm so fukn hyped for this. I need to start saving for the collectors edition.

We got some moron claiming he doesn't care about rep power immediately after he makes a cry post about being negged and you want to move on? Misc used to thrive on these moments and entertain.

The hacking class sounds awesome. In one of the videos on the previous page it said you can hack into the boxing robot and punch the guy's head off who's sparring with it lol

The hacking class sounds most intriguing at first. But I don't want to start it then find that I'm bored with the class 15-20 hours into the game.

If you watched the JackFrags video I posted yesterday, he talks about how decisions you make for your character dictate a lot of options down the line, something which I always like. For example, depending on where you choose your character to be from(street kid, corporation lackey, etc..) you will get options to various dialogue/mission choices that you wouldn't for the other. So if you're doing a mission in some ghetto broken down residential area and your character is has the street kid background, you'll be able to communicate with the NPC's in that area more effectively than you would if you were from a corporation.

I'm so digging the idea of this. Other games have kinda done something similar in terms of backgrounds, but it sounds like this will be far more fleshed out and applicable to the real world.

Looking into this more, I'm wondering if the background changes the character that's in your head:



We know that Keanu plays Johnny Silverhand, so does going for the Nomad or Corporate backstory change his character into someone else? Do you need to play the Samurai background to get Keanu?


Kinda wary about logging into this too much because I want some of the game to be a surprise

I don't get the idea that CDPR is making a big deal about him, then he's only in the game under a certain set of circumstances.

Pretty sure what is talked about across the internet is barely cracking the surface of what the game will offer. CDPR don't come across as the type that will put everything out there before the game is released.

Glad I got one day 1; everywhere seems to be sold out. BestBuy doesn't charge until it ships fyi, so you can order one to hold it. Same with Amazon.

Well everything is saying that Johnny Silverhand is a big part of the entire game, like a Cortana or something along those lines. But maybe that character changes based on the backstory you pick, so you only get Keanu if you pick the Samurai Rockerboy background?

Ah, I meant standard on GoG; not sure if they are doing the collector's through their site.

Primary route will be Speech, I always love talking my way out of sitations or intimidating/charming people in RPGS, so thats my first priority. Second I guess will be shooting of some of some kind unless I get access to some magic powers or some chit ... Dont really know what playstyles are offered in this game.

Well CDPR has already said that it's possible to play through 100% of the game and never kill anyone. So it does sound like you can talk, sneak, and/or hack your way through the entire game. Which is pretty bad ass. I've ever heard of a game that will give you so many ways to play through a game.
