damn you thirsty.

Girls don't "need" to approach, you just drop hints and if the guy is too dumb to pick them up then just lol.

if they want you they'll find a way to get you. let me just say though if i'm at the gym i don't chit where i eat. do you not do anything other than sit in the gym waiting for someone to hit you up?

you're in no position to pick and choose tbh

So what was up with the 4 dudes that approached?

Anywayss. All you have to do is look at a guy more than once,
that way he knows it's not just a coincidence of you making eye contact once. Maybe dropp a smile a couple of times and that's it. If he ain't approaching or shooting his shot following that, then dude sounds like a wimp that isn't even worth taking srs.

Women work through subtle hints. And even if they approach a guy, they don't (always) flat out make it obvious, they may just start a conversation on anything, or compliment something minor to get their point across. A girl I dated complimented my tracksuit once because she didn't wanna be too forward about finding me attractive for example. Real men like the thrill of the chase.

And I don't know about just picking who you want. You're being very prescriptive and it may slightly backfire. Just drop subtle flirts with the guys you like, talk to them and if anything comes to fruition see if there is chemistry, and perhaps it will naturally progress into something.

Just to me, sounds like you're jumping in the deep end too soon, and you might end up getting known as the thirsty gym bish if you go asking random guys out.

Cliffs: be subtle, flirt a little. Let dudes come your way. Stop trying to chase like you're a dude.

Let's be honest if you're not naturally confident or outgoing then cold approaching solo is very difficult atleast whilst sober in broad daylight. If the average miscer attempted this they'd probably stutter and act awkward due to fear which will put girls off, you have to have good social skills to pull off a solid cold approach.

I've cold approached before although mostly when drunk and when my friends pressured me into doing it, I either failed miserably or got a few numbers/snapchats but didn't really lead to anything.

Imagine doing that chit whilst sober in public on your own, very hard to pull off.

Wow really admire you right now op srs. Quality poster and thread. This will sound wierd but it gets to a point where even if you get shot down you have fun, and the majority of women arent chitty about it even when that does happen.

It's hard at first, but like anything it gets easier the more you do it

This is, essentially, what the cold approach is. Those guys claiming that 'cold approach' is some lame PUA strategy to try to get into a woman's pants in a few minutes don't understand that it is something basic that we keep supporting here: strike up some small talk and see how it goes...

And to Legz - you SHOULD join that work program you mentioned. Also, anyone who is really shy might want to try the app Meetup (if it works in your area). I have lived in places where I would just sign up for something like a 'logic dinner' and jump into random discussions with people in person. Or a board games night with randoms, again in person. I really think it helps people open up a bit.

Don't mind the ppl ITT loling at randomly talking to some old man. Misc is filled with people too awkward to look at their own shadow. You have to get your feet wet, and the ability to strike up a convo will carry over with anyone. Keep it up bro, you have your head screwed on right for this.

It takes time to get used to. Keep doing it until its a regular daily thing. Be mindful that the fear never goes away it just gets put on under control. Once you master on how to control your fear you will excel at everything in life srs.

Coincidence that I see this thread. Home for the summer saving money for grad school in the fall and life is a bit mundane. Not much excitement outside of the gym since I'm working from home. Go to the gym I grew up working out in so I see everyone that has been there for years including a few HBBs. There is this one that's 5'9" incredible shape (yoga build) and works out pretty hard. She's a single mother and drops her kid off in the play center while she works out.

Hate to be that guy hitting on a girl at the gym so I've used that as an excuse to just leave her be. Well, yesterday we were working out next to each other at the dumbbell rack as she walked away during my rest we caught eyes and she smiled. Felt some serious regret that I didn't say anything the rest of the time there even though I had multiple opportunities. Luckily, she usually goes the same time I do on the weekends so here's to trying next time and not being a p*ss.

I get what you mean but to me this is more of a process. Shooting the chit with some random dude or old lady you’re not interested in is the perfect warm up for cold approach.

And honestly I wasn’t going to mention it but since the thread blew up to 4 pages with no approaches, I figured why not to get the approach ball rolling?

When I talked to the guy I was intending for it to be warm up. Since he was right on my shoulder. Maybe I would’ve saw a chick on my way to the register.. no luck

Another thing I’m noticing is that I don’t really go enough places where there’s potential to see hot girls.

Mostly during the week I just wake up get food, and head to work. I’m going to add target or something do my daily routine instead of the convenience store. I’m sure to have more luck there

I could name so many examples that prove this statement wrong it's not funny. You won't believe me if I post a story so Im not even gonna put the effort in writing one, but trust me this is completely false. Women don't drop hints for EVERY guy they would potentially sleep with, though I do see your logic

Wasn't knocking you down, I just think you need to swim closer to the deep end before you celebrate too early. But I commend any progression that is made by a person!

Plenty of hot girls in supermarkets and in clothing stores. I think cold approaching with a friend makes it more light hearted, I would recommend that method for people new to this. If you and your friend hit on girls it just lightens the mood a little.

This. Ask your female friends how they met the guy they’re with and see how many say “I didn’t like him at first..” such a false statement. Women usually don’t know what they want honestly (no offense) were literally selling ourselves to them.

In on this crew. I get this a lot but not sure how to handle the situation. I'm better at social/work circles and online dating.
