Chick wasn't at the gym this morning either.

Yesterday I missed a great opportunity with a middle aged woman at work. I saw her twice first time was a greeting. Second time I got the door so she could push her cart and saw her mirin'. A perfect opportunity ruined by autism.

I'm starting to realize we all probably miss easy opportunites due to fear or just not picking up on signals.

No offense at all guys but what might drive people off is that you assume some kind of intellectual superiority like you talk about "things people are too dumb too understand".

The greatness of people who are passionate about one thing is that you can usualy feel their passion while discussing with them or while they talk about it and try to share their passions making it accessible for the novice and not assuming he is a k... that can't understand sh...

The way you write things is that you just talk to people about subject you master or pretend to master just to show them that you are intellectually superior.

There are different way to talk about things for instance if you like meteorology or cosmology you can start by saying you read an interesting book on the subject and explain why you find that fun/interesting/amazing and make the other person thinks "wow the subject seems cool, tell me more about this" rather than "ok I get it, you are a genius and know some ch... about a big explosion that happens billion years ago".

I have no experience cold approaching so my saying stands more for friendship relation but I'm pretty sure that the "I'm too smart for you" attitude that derives from your writings is not the best thing to do in relationship either. Maybe you don't put it this way irl or don't project such vibes irl but you definetly send them regarding the post I quoted at least that is what I feel reading them and frankly that it is not appealing.

Just my 2 cents.

Alright ngl, I'm all up for cold approaching but please for **** sakes, do not do it at the gym during mid workout. Some bloke kept talking to this girl and it was just us three at the gym and it was fuking cringeworthy. What's the point of going to the gym if cold approaching turns into a whole conversation that goes on for like 30 minutes.

Well of course you shouldn't talk their ear off for 30 min when they're trying to work out, but you can certainly be friendly and chat briefly. I'd have no problem with that.

Cold approach should only be done on events where you actually can start a conversation. Meeting someone on the street, mall or whatever makes things really difficult and awkward if you dont have game and show yourself coming up too hard.

I've met like 4 people in my life that talked about intellectual stuff lol. One had autism, the others were in IT. Almost nobody talks about intellectual stuff, at least where i live. Most you will get is some political debate or something.

Well I plan on hitting the mall to get some new shoes next week. Maybe I'll have an opportunity there.

Also yesterday while working I made eye contact with a Latina who was helping out on my floor. I nodded and smiled and she just looked at me and kept walking. This actually happens a lot, and I try not to take it personally. I try to consider the possibility that they've been approached by one too many creeps and have their defenses up. Still kind of makes me feel a little lame.

Side note, I chatted up a sloot at the market register. Just the standard "how are you" chit. I turned around and saw a much hotter one the next line over. I was like "fuk, I shoulda picked that line" lol. I am determined to get a successful interaction.

Hit up a random bar, order their strongest drink, and see where the night takes you. The number one advantage to being single is you can just have random adventures at any time. Don't take it for granted man. Go out, have a few, and talk to strangers. If you don't have fun, neg me.
