Elba would have made a pretty solid Bond. I think most people, other than die-hard purists fans and all out racists, would have been cool with a black actor playing Bond providing that said actor was suitable and could pull it off. I think Elba would have been a good choice.

But this however is obviously just a "woke" politically correct statement about diversity.

It's like the black Ariel, really nobody cared, but there was a lot of coverage about the few that did care. The only concern was that they were changing it for PC reasons, but really not a lot about it. Same here, libtards are just hoping that the rightwing will jump on it, that they are going to just go ahead and start covering it, and when nobody really says anything, there is all this speculation and of course highlighting the few comments they are going to get, even if it means twisting the facts.

My predictions is they will go down like Black Panther or even worse, the female ghostbusters. Critics will praise it as the best ever, any of them that doesn't will get blacklisted. People actually go to watch it will say "no, it's not" and of course the reviews come in on rotten tomatoes and other sources where all negative comments will be deleted, but in the end, it bombs, or does sup-par. No matter what the talking heads try to say, we all know the truth.

Fact is, getting involved in politics in the entertainment business is a very risky and can be a career fatal move.
