I went in not knowing wtf the movie was about. It all clicked near the end when Tex said he was "doing what Charlie said or else he is a liar " and they all were talking about killing fascists. I was thinking "holy shid, this is an actual event that happened!" because I thought about the dates and the dialogue about hippies.
Also you know it is a Quenten Tarantino movie when he puts unnecessary foot **** shid into it. I was both grossed out and deeply impressed at how annoying he made the feet characters. The man is getting better with time and experience. He actually annoyed me AND caused me to be annoyed at the characters while annoying me.
10/10 because I rarely see movies and don't watch TV. I had tickets from donating blood. Feels good man.
Brad Pitt is alpha as fuark too. I am a bigger fan of his now more than ever for nailing the stunt driver role and staying in shape with age. (no homo)
I would pre-order the Blu-ray right now if I could.

I think the fact it did revolve around a real event but tarantino created a different event out of it made the movie less appealing to me tbh.

That is why I didn't realize it immediately. I thought it was just a reference to people with loose changes to details. I know they were not killed the way he did it, probably him sympathizing for the family.
Flamethrower was funny though.

What you're getting is more of a hangout movie akin to Jackie Brown or even something slightly similar to a Dazed and Confused but with actors in Hollywood.
And as I said before, this movie will greatly appeal to movie buffs with an interest in Hollywood history. It is less plot driven, but for people who enjoy movies about movies, movies about Hollywood and filmmaking, and movies made by Tarantino, then this movie is for you.

Cliff's dog's name was Brandy, he is his best friend's stunt man, both deep into alcohol and chasing superficial dreams, zero ****s given about most of their decisions but both still giving full effort to be the best they can be which seems to be the only way they can reason when they start to mess up, and attention to detail was perfect down to everything from the era: cars, clothes, luggage, planes, speech, haircuts, appliances, commercials, California's political climate.
Most important part to me personally was the driving. Even though it's not a huge part of the movie, it's all done with REAL driving. Whether they overlaid footage on a screen or not, you can tell the cars were accurately depicted for their power:weight and suspension. Even subtleties like idling cars at lights or random bs drives throughout the hills. All of it was accurate.

I enjoyed it. There were definitely a few lulls in the action, but it didn't last too long. It kept my attention and I didn't fall asleep.
Leo and Pitt were fantastic, per the usual. Margot was a great choice for Sharon Tate. Very similar looking.
If you like Tarantino's movies, generally, then I think you will enjoy this one.

The music and constant foot shots were annoying, Margot Robbie character was a waste of time, they didn't even show Manson.
It was still a good movie, the last scene with Pitt was fuking hilarious. Leo was also funny as fuk in this movie. Any movie that kills filthy hippies is worth watching

I thought Sharon in the movie theater was a great scene and showing her getting a kick out of life was building the tension for her murder and added to the catharsis of the pay off ending.

I don't think that video picked up on the fact that Antonio Margheriti was also a real director and contemporary of Corbucci.
