You would have a point if any of the shootings had to do with men standing up for their rights, "voting" with their dollars or being a vocal advocate when masculine traits are being denigrated.
You arent attempting to associate a lunatic that shoots up a public place because he cant get laid and men standing up for their rights, are you? That has nothing to do with mens rights or voting with your dollars (the topic we are discussing).

can anyone confirm?
can anyone confirm?
yall are noobs mane. Most, if not all of yall, are clueless on how much goes into the development of the Gillette shaving products. Other companies don't even come close on the R&D.
Dollar shave club was revolutionary in the business model, not necessarily the product.

He's most likely financially illiterate and partially retarded.
Gillette didn't "lose" 8 billion. They are owned by P&G who acquired them in 2005 and typically when corporations perform acquisitions of other companies they will overpay by a significant percentage of the company's value in order to incentivize the shareholders or owners to sell their stake in the company. This is known as "goodwill" and this also includes intagible assets that cannot be fully evaluated at time of acquisition. There is literally a formula for goodwill in corporate accounting and this is carried on the balance sheet.
It is likely that P&G adjusted the value of this intangible asset during its earning period and had to record a charge against it now that it has owned Gillette for many years and can properly assess the goodwill amount paid (cash plus stock) to acquire the company. P&G had a great 4th quarter and it is a perfect time to announce a large write down like this. This is why the Gillette CEO feels "safe" to come out and speak out in support of their stupid marketing campaign.
I will let the actual CPA's chime in and correct me as I am an intermediate trader and not a professional by any means. But frauds like the idiot in YT video are embarrasing and give all educated people a bad name and his video just serves his retarded talking points. I understand it fits his narrative but he clearly doesn't know what he is talking about and this shows in the clickbait title. Read the actual article he "references" in his video where he claims Gillette "lost" 8 billion despite P&G announcing confidence in their brand. Truth is that anything Gillette does PR wise is approved by P&G and they are one of the most successful corporations in the world so good luck boycotting them and hoping they go out of business.

Gillette has to clearly state why the write downs occur for its stock holders..
Its an 8 billion write down with a 5.24 billion dollar direct reduction in sales. The company explained the reduction in revenue as the following - "market correction of blades and razors due to lower shaving frequency".
Trust me if they could pin this epic hammering onto a goodwill write down, they would do it in a very public manner.
1.29 billion dollar revenue at this time in 2018
5.4 billion dollar revenue loss at this time in 2019
What happened in the middle? People suddenly massive amounts of the population started growing beards?....Its clearly because of the ad...

Lmao @ blaming beards. Not sure if srs.
Did Harry's/barbasol get destroyed too? I highly doubt it. I bet Harry's gained a TON of revenue from the fallout. Probably over a billion dollars.
Perhaps a spy from Harry's got a job at Gillette and created the ad LMAO

The CEO of Gillette said he does not regret his company's controversial marketing campaign inspired by the #MeToo movement, despite losing some loyal customers over it.

LOL at anyone uses Gillette post the early 2000's. The brand and their portfolio of products has been in the pits for almost twenty years.

You should have a water pick for dental hygiene. And use it to clean your razor blades. They stop giving you a close shave when all the old stuff clogs up the blades. They cut and what they cut passes through. It's when all the old sht clogs up and now blades are trying to cut and push through clogged blades and that is not going to give you a good shave.

It's not the ad, although the ad hasn't exactly helped things. Men just aren't shaving as much in general. Beards are in fashion. P&G are still making tons of money hand over fist though. With these kinds of companies its not the worst if one of the brands is sufffering for a little bit, they are able to afford to take on the losses of one brand for a while. Although I tell you this, I would not like to be the person who is in charge of the brand at the moment. Would be a real headache, although probably if they are doing their forecasting they'd be working out whether the competition is suffering too.
