They are actually all over that district. It is a drinking district kind of like 6st in Austin, but in a "sketchy" part of Dayton. I always see groupings of cops around downtown drinking districts like this. I am surprised the gunman chose a cop-dense area, versus the other guy with a walmart.

my brother works in the gun dept at Cabela's and he was telling em about all the rules and procedures he has for selling someone a gun. they can legit deny someone if they think the person "looks sketchy". this notion people have that anyone can just had someone cash for a gun legally is nuts.

genuinely shocked so many people ran inside of that building with the gunman walking down the sidewalk. IDK man, if it was me the last place id do is stuff myself in a sardine can with everyone else. Im just gonna haul ass as fast as i can down the street and to the other side. hitting a running target, even in a straight line, is hard enough but weaving around cars and fatboy has no chance of hitting me

As a fellow FF, I'm sure you've seen what i've seen. Like you, i turn a blind eye.I've only intervened once on a call. How many suspects have you been told to let bleed out?
I emphasized those specific LEO's. They did there job and they did it well, that is why they deserve recognition. They are not heroes. And neither are you or me when we do what we signed up for.... we weren't drafted you know.
