What are your thoughts on Jason Blaha's Strength Standards?

What are your thoughts on Jason Blaha's strength standards?

Here are the cliffs for those who don't watch the video

Spoiler!
Pullup / Chinup (dead-hang): 100 lbs
Standing Press: 200 lbs
Bench Press: 300 lbs
Squat: 400 lbs
Deadlift: 500 lbs

To reach the standards, you must meet all 5 requirements. Even missing one will not qualify you for meeting the standards.

Anyways, I think they are pretty high. Jason claims that these standards are for everyone and not just powerlifters / bodybuilders (I consider them the same). For my physical endeavour, I don't see the purpose of the super heavy weighted lifts since they can increase my chances of injury. I am not saying that being stronger won't help me at all, but I am looking at this from a risk / reward standpoint. Does the reward outweigh the risks in terms of Jason's strength standards? In my opinion, for my endeavour, I don't think it does. But what about you guys? Do you think that Jason's strength standards are a good goal for healthy young men in the gym to achieve?

I always read the comments on his videos and they were always calling him coach in almost a mocking way

Looking through his recents, he just started offering coaching for 200$ a month??
*Actually lifts but no one notices because I'm so skinny crew*

There are skinny manlets who would submit Blaha within 5 seconds. Who gives a **** how much you can lift if you can't fight?

Yup. Have to have ********, record your lifts, talk with him every two weeks via videocam, have to pay consultation fee, etc. IMO, not worth it since I'd rather have someone coach me in person.

Granted he doesn't have the most desirable physique, you cannot take away that he speaks in a common sense point of view and does a good job atexposing of frauds in the fitness industry. So why is everything he says a lie? I watched many fitness youtubers and what he says is actually correct for the most part. The rest just make money selling chitty supplements and programs while lying about their natty status when it's clear to those with common sense their gains come from gear use rather than their inferior training.

I don’t have enough time to list all his lies. You can easily look it up for yourself. He doesn’t speak common sense, he speaks bull****. He constantly contradicts himself, has been cutting for years and somehow gained weight, changes his training every 2 weeks and hasn’t made any strength gains in years. He’s actually regressed. “Been in the iron game 20 years! I’m relearning bench and squat mechanics.”

The only people he appeals to are:
- DYEL twinks
- Fat coping idiots who think anyone who looks better than Blaha is on gear
- Third world bobs and vagene types
- Red insects such as yourself

He never said he was cutting for for years. He only cut for a few months in his word, then decided to recomp and still doing it. But when it comes to exercise and fitness, what he says is usually accurate and true. For an example, Jason always calls out people like Omar Isuf, Alpha Destiny, Jeff Nippard, supplement companies, and sometimes other popular channels that usually give good content when they get things wrong. Just because he doesnt look like a bodybuilder doesnt mean he is wrong.

You only made yourself look like a fool here. So I will ask again -- what exactly did Blaha get incorrect. Did you even bother watching his recent videos? Since you can't even cite an example of when he was wrong, it seems to me like you are brainwashed by the fitness industry and the con artists who are most likely fake natties.

Not going to give him any sort of nod or credit but will say those standards should be pretty easy to attain within a few years of lifting

They're not unreasonable. You won't necessarily even look like you lift if you hit all of those.

Let's be honest here -- the only way you can look like you lift is if you take steroids and other drugs.

Very good standards for anyone who wants to be pretty strong overall, and strength will never be a limiting factor in your general athleticism.

I'd be happy if I got those just need more pushing strength

Lol at bloho fitness.

How about you just keep pushing yourself in the gym each time you step in it, vs. worrying about that basement dwelling compulsive liar's strength thoughts.

That is what I do, but I just want to see what people think about his standards to see if this is the general consensus' standards for strength. It'll be a good way to gauge my progress as well.
