The guy might be an idiot, but he is entertaining for sure.

So are train wrecks.

Joe Connolly was the king of the staged train crash; so much so that he acquired the nickname “Head-On Joe.” During his long career of buckling iron he organized 73 train crashes. With a flare for the dramatic, Connolly put dynamite on the tracks for a more impressive bang. Then, he soaked wooden rail cars with gasoline to produce sheets of flame.

The biggest crowd to ever watch one of these extravaganzas was 162,000 in New York City.

You only made yourself look like a fool here. So I will ask again -- what exactly did Blaha get incorrect. Did you even bother watching his recent videos? Since you can't even cite an example of when he was wrong, it seems to me like you are brainwashed by the fitness industry and the con artists who are most likely fake natties.

The fact that Jason Blaha lied about being a secret government double agent on some level 3 esponiage type chit is enough for me to never, ever, take anything that he says seriously ever.

To be honest, I don't care about him as an individual. I don't know him nor do I care about his cuts, his strength workouts, his sport, etc. The only reason why I watch him is because his current information seems to be accurate for the most part and is a breath of fresh air from the typical fitness shill and his passive voice makes me fall asleep pretty easily.

This
I havent been around long enough to experience that. I have seen some videos on that subject and they were pretty corny at best. I guess he was doing this for some entertainment purposes? Anyways, his current information about strength and lifting seems to be quite accurate and the fact that he isn't trying to sell me anything makes me feel a bit at ease, which is more than what can be said about majority of fitness gurus on youtube.

Blaha's content is an advertisement for his services, so yes, he is trying to sell you something.

In theory, you see his content, and go "This guy is trustworthy" and then eventually down the line you might purchase one of his coaching plans.

That being said, here's an entire anthology of Blaha's claims.

If he said every person should be able to hit those numbers he's dead wrong. I'm living proof, back when I used to lift consistently my lifts never got anywhere near those numbers. I think it's all genetics. I'm a tall skinny guy with small bone structure and had very little to work with. However I do agree that a person with average genetics can hit those numbers and of course a person with above average/elite genetics will attain numbers much higher than that. Blaha probably believes everyone should hit those numbers since he himself hit those numbers. So he probably has average/slightly above average genetics for strength (but obviously not for aesthetics).

Yeah, same here. 3/4/5 plates in a year (then went super natty so it doesn't count after that)

It's hilarious that bloho needed a gram of gear a week to hit the same numbers some HS athletes hit

I am on the same boat in terms of not being able to hit those standards. He advocates those following his novice ICF program to bulk up to 20% BF. The problem is that would severely limit my cardio and conditioning for what I practice and train in. I would say that anything about 18% BF is too much for my standards. But I cannot speak for those who are into powerlifting since they kind of need to be big in order to lift heavier weight.

99% of the male population will never achieve his "standards."

Every man should be striving to get stronger but who cares about what others can lift when it has no effect on themselves?

"Strength" is relative. "Strong" in a powerlifting gym versus Anytime Fitness versus a construction site are all going to vary wildly. Let's say you meet Blaha's standards...okay now what?

I thought the point of working out is to be healthy and live longer, no? Bodybuilding seems to be the opposite of that.

His strength standards, in his words, are standards that will have the average person on the streets think that you lift while wearing a shirt.

I mean, he is in his 40s, so he obviously is going to be weaker than the younger ones. At least he trains properly and not like the fake natty bodybuilders who only go on those silly machines in the gym.

He wasn't in his 40's when he competed, late 30's maybe. I'm 39 and just posted the 70th best 220 raw total in history of them keeping stats. I'm not even special and was able to do that. His best total has him ranked 4941...I know you're trolling but let that sink in.

He is one of the most jealous turds around and so much of his content is talking is about how something should be done and sh!tting on lifters that are way fukin better than him.
