Here are my top 3

Not a commie, but I think Karl Marx was one of the most brilliant people to walk the earth.
His analysis of capitalism was pure genius.

Schopenhauer is my favorite but people dont like his point of view for the most part.
Wittgenstein, Kierkegaard, EM Cioran, Nietzsche
The Stoics are awesome. Greek philosophers in general.
Eastern philosophy (although he wouldn't claim to be a philosopher) I like UG Krishnamurti.
