Gillette's performance has been sliding for years. They used to be nearly the only players just ten years ago and now their market share is something like 40%. I'm sure this didn't help, called attention to their troubles, and may have even measurably accelerated it, but they had to slash prices dramatically a couple years back.

Was a really dumb move, either way. Nobody wants to hear that chit. I can't imagine the thought process. Did they think they'd appeal to women who would then decide to buy the other brand of razor blades for their boyfriends when they're doing the shopping?
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

I don't use their stuff anyway. I got a cheap Van der Hagen safety razor at Target or someplace, and I got a pack of 100 assorted razor blades for 15 bucks off of eBay. 20 dollar safety razor, and then 15 dollars worth of blades that will last me 2 years. maybe more. And I use Barbasol, it's $1.49 a can, lasts about 8 months, and it's made in the US.

You should all look at trying out a safety razor. It's really nice, cheap, and gets you a closer shave.

Barbasol is a ripoff. Get shaving soap and a brush. A piece of shaving soap lasts like 8 months.

It's a dying product anyways. Their razors suck.

With dollarshave club and all these other innovative subscriptions that cost a fraction of a Gillette razor, only a fool will buy overpriced crap.

More men have beards nowadays that they don't shave but just maintain. Beard trimmers, oils etc. sell way more than razors.

Lol if you think 1 ****ty ad is a reason for losses, it's probably a bit of a contributor since so many sheeps who let a fkin ad make their buying decisions.

The dyke in charge of marketing wasn't trying to sell razors at all. This sums it up well.

This

and even if their shaving line goes completely belly up (which it won't) They still have a couple dozen insanely popular products that people buy on a daily basis simply out of name recognition, regardless if its actually a good product.

oh, and i'd like to add that the #1 brand of beard trimmer is brAun which is owned by, you guessed it, Proctor and Gamble.

They figured they had their hardcore fan base that wouldn't leave no matter what.

To appeal to new younger customers and women they thought it would be smart to take a jab directly at their main customer base.

What they didn't count on was their main customer base saying F-YOU and jumping ship at 10 to one for every new gender fluid customer that signed up.

Trannies are like less than 1 percent of the population. I don't know why these jack asses think they need to market to that demographic.
