the problem is you never know when it'll actually be a real deal one like Andrew. So you have to prepare in case it is one, annoying but better then getting caught out and rekt irl

MSM always says that. The last one they said if you don't leave then you will die. I rode it out and nothing happened other than some palm fronds in the road. The power didn't even go out.

Andrew hit in 92 though and over 25 years ago. That's before the infrastructure was changed (https://abcnews.go.com/US/25-years-f...ry?id=49649317)

Florida is pretty much all new development and all new buildings that are able to withstand this stuff so I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen unless it was some super storm freak hurricane.

Unless you're living in an old wooden home in Florida then I wouldn't worry

I know it was in the Panhandle, which people not to care as much about, but we had Michael just last year, that left a devastating impact for many people. It does happen.

Water still runs from the tap you just cannot use hot water until power returns.
Just cold showers but at least we can all misc while bored.

Irma a few years ago.. They had it coming in somewhere else..but late they projected it make landfall as a 4 or 5 directly in my city

So we left late. We travelled 4 hours to jacksonville. Travelling was weird. Literally every city along the way was empty. Every gas station was out of gas. Literally no joke. I had literally pulled over to seek cover under a building that had an awning type thing as we were running out of gas..

LEGIT, as the last fuken resort as i was making that turn to seek shelter there was a gas station over in the corner down the road that was open. Legitimately one gas station along a 4 hour route we took was open

And then the hurricane landed and formed a pocket over my city. So our city didnt get much. But jville.. The place we travelled to. Was out of power for 2 weeks. We werent allowed to leave for 2 to 3 days cause they were picking chit up

Going without power was pretty brutal

It's just about being angus peppered in a worst case scenario. Water is key, especially when it's hot as balls out and there's no A/C. Ez to have some in reserve, better to have it and never need it then other way round.

People out here are hysterical

Gas stations the lines are back wAy into the streets. So crazy. I’m trying to fill two 5 gallon jugs.,. Not because the gov tells me to no sheep but the one part they always always predict accurately Is the power goes out lol. So I need that gas Ffs

It used to be nice. I loved St Augustine but with the mass migrations from the northeast coming here and overdevelopment its way too crowded and built up now.
