Good news is models show it moving further away. My job has us coming back on Thursday. I'm missing 2 fukking days of pay now because of this crap.
The Bahamas are getting wiped off the face of the earth rn, they've had a stalled cat 4/5 monster right on top of them for like 40+ hours.

whats interdasting is the eye actually circled east slightly and is now curling back west. Started the day just south of that island and after a whole day is just on the north side of it.

Bahamas gonna look like they did back in the pirate days, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Not every piece of the earth needs to be full of strip malls and popeye's chicken.

RIP Bahamas, this *******'s eye is literally going in little circles on the north coast, so they're all getting hammered non-stop by the strongest part of the storm rn.

So there has been an island devastated in 2017, 18 and now 19. That area is going to become unhabitable long term if these monsters keep coming. FL can rebuild - at a cost but these islands dont have the resources or wealth to do that.

Well I agree but these storms have been causing massive damage year after year where it wasn't the case? Those insurance premiums dont pay themselves for those who have it.

No those storms have been hitting for eons, which is why those islands were always sparsely populated before the invention/introduction of concrete.
