But if you've signed a contract stating that (paraphrasing) "I give up any and all rights to the footage, and allow the producers to do with it as they see fit"... Then I (non-lawyer here) don't see how they have a case.

There must (I'm guessing) be something more to it that I must be thinking, otherwise I'm guessing the case wouldn't have gotten this far. I have read that the contract possibly didn't show the real names of the producers, and they use aliases... I've also read that the contract avoids mentioning anything that would allow the girls to discover that the site is girlsdoporn.

This is pathetic on so many levels.....I don't see how any of the girls can win this case.

Having been in the industry for a short time (not behind camera) any reputable company (especially one as big as GDP) has at least one full time lawyer and a couple more on retainer, they write the contracts, and instruct the owner of the business how to get the girls to sign it so they can't claim duress later.
This almost always entails getting them to sign the contract on camera, a statement of intent, and acknowledging what they are about to do, and for what purpose. Also after U.S.C. 2257 passed they have to provide Picture ID, and full contact info for custodian or records - they can't claim they didn't know what they were doing.

I would be super surprised if GDP was not doing this....if they weren't they had this coming, and their legal team for sure warned them.

With that said, when are we, as a society, ever going to hold women accountable for.......anything. For some reason when a woman signs a contract or enters into a business agreement, they are NEVER held to their side of the bargain, because vagina. Same with marriage, awwww the poor wominz can't be expected to be responsible for any of their choices....they're just women!

Isn't this patronizing? Were are the feminist groups fighting the fact that women / courts are basically admitting women have the mental capacity of a legally retarded person, or a minor - meaning can't enforce contract law against them due to diminished capacity.
