No. She isn't going to be 'in trouble' for almost dying in the line of duty. Its easy to Monday morning this incident. But I'm betting very few people here have been in a violent altercation where their life was on the life. It doesn't matter how many fights you've been in. Unless you've been in one where the goal to survive was kill the other person, so you don't die. Its not the same.


Even if your a man its not easy to fight and subdue another male subject. Then take their hands and put them behind their back and cuff them. Unless you have the skill to knock someone out and/or choke them out. You really aren't likely to overpower them and take control unless you just out-weight them by 50+LBS.




She wasn't ready. But if she would have been, and would have killed him before it got to that point (an unarmed aggressive black suspect). Black Lives Matter would be rioting in the streets. The only reason this isn't a huge ****storm is because of the circumstances and he actually attempted to kill her. He just didn't know how to shoot.

As they say, 'Anybody can be a mascot.' Usually people that go out of their way to buy all the cool gear and play dress up and take pictures, aren't actually using said gear. On one hand she had balls to engage with an aggressive suspect when she was alone. On the other hand the only reason she survived was because he was too incompetent to kill her.



Guarantee you in the future she uses alternative tactics when she needs to arrest an aggressive male subject.

She got very lucky.

I saw a situation at an apartment complex with a big drunk guy having some ptsd flashbacks absolutely lose it and his 2 friends couldnt calm him down, he was pacing a lot yelling and hitting cars (putting dents in them). Guess who was the first person on the call? A female officer that was maybe 5'4 and 150lbs with all the stuff she had on. The guy was about 6'5 270lbs. She was completely hopeless and she kept backing up every time he got near her and reaching for her weapon. After about 5 minutes some other officers show up and they wrestle the guy downed and arrested him. If they didnt come I def think she would have ended up killing him. A situation that could have been avoided if it was a guy officer.
