I'm curious how the performance/optimization will be. Hopefully closer to Doom levels and not AC: Unity levels lol

Will a 2080ti get 1440p/60fps (no dips under 50) with ray tracing on? That's my hope.

If the game ends up being as good as it's hyped to be (averaging 93%+), I'll likely upgrade my 1080 to a 2180ti for this game to get 3440x1440@120fps

The graphics are good. I'm not saying they're trash. But they're not mind-bending. Look closer at the deep drive video and look at the surroundings. It's not as sharp as everyone makes it out to be. And it would be hard to achieve that because of the density of the game.

I'm sure it will. Might have a few bumps on the first few days of release like most games, but once Nvidia releases a patch (like they did for "Control"), things will be much smoother.

I haven't found a game yet that my 2080Ti doesn't rip through at 1440 res. Shadow of The Tomb Raider plays at 70-80FPS for me with every setting on ultra/max with ray tracing on. I don't imagine CP2077 will be more demanding than SOTTR, but who knows.

They still have plenty of time to make sure it's well optimized too. They're slowly using less and less powerful GPU's for the game play videos, which makes they think they are still in the optimization process. Earlier this year was on a Titan RTX. This latest one was on a 2080Ti. That gives me hope that they are serious about making the game as optimized as possible.

TW3 wasn't cutting edge in graphics, but it was good enough to have beautiful landscapes and well defined characters. That's all 2077 has to be visually.

ya.. games don't have to be "realistic looking" "life like graphics" to be good. Look at Zelda BOTW. Far from realistic and life like, but instead a beautiful looking game for the artwork they decided to go with.

Will second this sentiment again

IMO Cyberpunk will look amazing as a final product, but let’s focus on the really important stuff here: it’ll be an RPG first and foremost. The story and way its executed (the choices you need to make and the repercussions) are what convinced Keanu to come on board. I have no doubt CDPR will knock those RPG elements out of the park

If you go into this expecting Forza-level driving or a Doom/Borderlands-level FPS, you might be disappointed. I anticipate the combat being pretty solid and the skill/crafting/upgrade stuff to be really good, but those will end up just being sides to the main course. You should go into this looking to explore the story and the idea of a dystopian future where society is fukd up and people are obsessed with body modification / augmentation.

Gonna get my $60 worth in the first day just running around exploring this incredibly bad ass looking city they've created.
Game will look amazing, game will have amazing story line, game will have amazing RPG elements. Anyone who even has the slightest bit of interest in the Cyberpunk genre is going to enjoy the absolute hell out of this game. Can't fuking wait. Hopefully Borderlands 3 holds my interest until April!

Almost. Its not as large, but is more dense. But honestly the CPU and GPU are more heavily impacted by dense activity over larger.

Also, gave up on Control with the awful glitchiness(OneX). Might go in to see if theres an update and see if that made a difference.

Cant wait for this one, hope they knock it out of the park.

Couple of critiques though from the trailers, i know its their first shooter but i find the hit markers and health bars a little arcadey.

I do hope those can be turned off, they wreck immersion for me; that said... if I get some implants I can argue to myself that it adds those and then it will increase immersion.

Well they've already announced that it will be possible to turn off the UI all together for people wanting the most as far as immersion. I would imagine they will let you also pick and choose what settings like damage bars, etc, you want to turn off or keep on too.

A LOTTTT of people are fanboy'd the fuk out for this game. We've seen enough game play, know enough about the game, and know enough about CDPR to know it will be something special we've never experienced before. Unless the final result is a total 180 from what we've seen/know so far - it will be a 10/10 game.

I will fanboy this and CDPR all day, but not recognizing a possibility for a flop would be outright dumb. I don't see it happening, but they could always pull a Bethesda, I loved Fallout, though 4 was a bit weak IMO, then FO76 just plain dropped the ball.

There is ALWAYS a possibility for failure.

As for first/third person I usually prefer first when doing shooters so it works for me, but I would like the option just because more choices is always nice.

I guess. Most of us knew FO76 was going to be 100% garbage the minute they told us it was online only and explained there was no campaign.

Although the word is being used and abused too often right now, I do think First Person is better for immersion

Witcher 3 was a bit different because the story wasn't really about you, it was about Geralt and you were mostly along for the ride. Cyberpunk 2077 will be much more about creating your own story and immersion will be key

Aside from that, I think people are largely misunderstanding CDPR's intend with the "first-person cutscenes" and such. There's not a single part of me that doesn't trust CDPR on the storytelling side of things, that will be a home run for sure
