As a person with really bad genetics for chest development, the only exercise that really improved my chest drastically was the bench press, done with a wide grip, powerlifting style, it's what made me go from having no chest at all to having a big chest

I don't bench press at all.

I also think flies are overrated unless doing the pulley cable types with proper range of motion and knowing how to engage the pecs properly - flies are also very painful for those with shoulder ailments.

I think doing dips and pushups are good from an aesthetics POV.

Source: I haven't gone to the gym in over 6 month and still look like I lift from doing calisthenics only.

A few weeks ago it was a war against deadlifts. Next will be squats. Pretty soon we will all be jacked from our home boflex machine.

Honestly I always assumed incline and decline were superior to flat bench but I like benching too much to stop

Why should I take lifting advice from a guy who looks 130lbs soaking wet lol.

Benchpress is getting too much hate in the last years.
What will give you a bigger chest? a 500lbs benchpress or 30 pound chest flys?

I didn't watch either video, but I'd have to disagree on relying on leg ext for growth. They generally overload the shortened range which is arguably the least important thing to focus on for main output. They're great for getting a bit more work on the quad in a stable environment after the hard stuff, but that's about it IMO.

Barbell bench press is a great exercise, but it's not required, nor does it optimally hit chest in the vast majority of people. If your goal is to build a bigger chest, benching isn't mandatory.

If you are the size of the dude in the video and lift the way he does, you will end up spending the rest of your lifte being physically weaker than some middle aged dad, who works manual labor and never even touched a weight in his life.
