Just as it's depressing and scary how many people think personal Liberties and the Right to self defense are baaad, it's equally disturbing how many people seem happy to support premeditated murder, executions, and torture of criminals. I suppose it's like driving where everybody faster than you is a reckless ******* risking lives and shouldn't be on the road while everyone slower is an incompetent roadblock and shouldn't be on the road

Unfortunately some people see a private citizen using a firearm in self defense...without having to call a government agent to come and use the firearm for them...and it scares them to be reminded that there are things which are your own personal responsibility (that's a scary word...responsibility)

Statists are afraid of true freedom. It's truly scary to them. They rather enjoy the illusion of freedom, while living in a gilded cage and led around by the nose and shackles of oppressiveness.

Being free also means free to fail. Failure to thrive in society that is increasingly becoming a nanny to them. Giving them comfort from cradle to grave, but unbeknownst to them, that nanny is also very very harsh. Punishment usually ends in violence and death to the unruly with no recourse. Tow the line, follow, and never stray. That's the price of comfort.

Thing with statists, they fall on almost every side of the political spectrum... liberal, progressives,... conservatives...
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

I resemble this remark.

Back on topic, I hope if it's as the story reads and a legitimate self defense scenario that the homeowner never sees a single minute in court or in cuffs. Being Georgia and not some full on libcucked state I think he should be ok. Also glad the 3 pissants are dead instead of being drains on the system for the rest of their lives. Again, if it's as the news article states and they were the aggressors.

Exactly. It was premeditated murder, and even if you ignore the premeditation and setting up and waiting, looking for an opportunity to shoot them, he executed them in cold blood (or enjoyed it, even) when they were already incapacitated.

It takes a real sick fuk to do that, or defend that.

Something that some people have difficulty grasping, is that in the real world, it's not uncommon for every person involved to be wrong. And that whole two wrongs don't make a right.

I'm not sure what some people are arguing about ITT, but they've obviously never been robbed or burglarized if they're standing up for the would-be robbers.

My house has been burglarized twice in 3 years. It's the worst kind of violation besides possible rape that anyone could suffer. Not sorry for those scum in the article being erased from the face of this earth.

Either arm yourself or move preferably both. I can't imagine my house getting broken into especially that often

I've already moved. This happened when I was single and living alone. First time it was by someone I knew. Second time, I had just returned from having rented that house out to someone else, the alarm people were coming the following day to install the alarm when it happened.

Funny thing is that we now live in a less newer neighborhood and crime is low here compared to where I lived alone - it was in the nicer part of town but almost every house on my street had been burglarized.

Sometimes people in the nicer part of town are clueless morons who think "that kind of thing doesn't happen here" and thus make sweet, juicy targets, mostly for property crime

Gotta love a story with a happy ending.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Nobody is arguing about the dudes in the OP who got shot. There's a side commentary going about these white kids who broke into a dudes house and got killed, but the circumstances surrounding the shooting landed him in prison. There's audio of it and everything. He even waited until the next day as not to interrupt Thanksgiving Dinner.

"Georgia is one of at least 10 states with self-defense laws that include language stating a person may “stand his or her ground,” according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Stand your ground laws allow people to respond to threats or force without fear of criminal prosecution.

Georgia Code states that “a person is justified in using force which is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm only if he or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent death or great bodily injury to himself or herself or a third person or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony. ”

Guess I'm moving to Georgia.
