I have two daughters who are my entire world, but have no issues with the no kids crew - just remember that society doesn't revolve around you as most of us think differently.

I love kids and I kinda wanna have one or two for a few different reasons but I don’t think it’ll ever happen to me and I’m more than ok with that.
Not ready for tour to be over and I’m not sure I’m gonna get much more mentally mature in the next 5-10 years anyway.

Legacy is huge dude. I didnt know what it meant until I recently hit midlife crisis. I had a quarter life crisis that I worked through but midlife crisis hits hard

Problem is OP the currency or worth you use is as following (1) Money - no such thing as enough money, or fuk you money. There is 1 billion different ways people/institutions of society will continue to screw you over when you think you have more money, its never ending

(2) Time.. well you have more time but we're all addicted to 4k HDTVs, high speed internet p0rn, video games, apps and etc. So unless you live in a cave, you have some sort of addiction and that addiction is eating up all your time

So by not having kids, you might think you have more (1) money or (2) time but reality is thats not case. Last, legacy is very powerful concept thats deeply rooted in our conscious, its there with "glory". Get old enough in life and you want "legacy" and "glory", and easy way to find both of those things? By having kids

It's funny, though. I had this friend, or all the friends actually that I know, whose situation is not ideal and they "regret" having kids. They are so loving towards their kids, though. No, but maybe thats because I grew up poor. My dad never went on a plane till he was 52 years old. My kids have gone on more vacations in their young lives than I did by the time I got married.

Its not legacy in that context. I agree, once your dead, you're dead. None of it will matter and in 100 years you will be forgotten completely. And what kind of person wants to be remembered and cherished for centuries after their death anyways?

I mean, look how desperate you are to influence somebody, to share your wisdom with someone that will listen. And nobody cares what you have to say. Seriously, no one cares.

When you have children, you are able to influence a brand new human being to having a better life than you did. You can teach your kids values that you think are important, and watch them turn into a better version of yourself. That is your legacy, your mark on the world. It is more fulfilling and rewarding than anything else I could imagine.

No kids crew, but it wasn't intentional. When my wife and I first got married we moved a few times and the timing just didn't seem right. We were always on the fence about children, but thought there would always be time. Once we got our feet under us we really just took the time to enjoy each others company. Traveling, Going to different events, different social engagements, etc. The thought of raising children just seemed exhausting. We do talk about it from time to time, but in 6 months we'll both be 38, and even if the kid does come out completely healthy, we'll be well into our 50's/early 60's by the time he/she graduates HS, and moves onto College.

Who cares what other people think? My mark on the world is important to me - not you. I could not give 2 chits if you dress your pupper up like a person, or if you have chithead kid.

Also while am fond of kids but not in current environment I'm in, best analogy for having kids is hiring a personal assistant or secretary only to find out later on in time that this employee doesnt listen or follow your guidance because of "media", "govt regulations" etc to the point it doesnt make sense to hire personal secretary.
