Wherever You Go, There You Are" by Jon Kabat Zinn. Even if you're not into meditation, its a really good book in terms of keeping your perspective solely based in the present mind.
I switched to Audiobooks tbh. $14.95 and you get a credit that you can use for books greater than the monthly value. Put it on 1.5-2.5x speed depending on whos talking, and you can cruise through books with clarity at really good speeds.

I’m reading “all” the classics so I havn’t read many newer books.
I’m only gonna list fiction, so books such as thinking fast and slow and getting to yes won’t be included.
So far the best ones are:
- To kill a mocking bird
- 1984/animal farm
- A farewell to arms, the old man and the sea, men without women (all of Hemmingways short stories to be honest)
- Anything by Dostojevskij
- Gulag archipelago, One day in the life of Ivan Denosovich
- Slaughterhouse 5, Cat’s Cradle
- Money by Martin Amis
- The unbearable lightness of being
(Disclaimer: my native language isn’t English, so some of the titles could be wrong as I’ve merely wrote what I think they would be called in English).
... I feel like I could go on and on, there’s SO many great books! Start anywhere!

The men look up to most are all the old cop gunwriters- Bill Jordan, Jim Cirillo, Skeeter Skelton. I've got books by all three I must have read a dozen times each.
I've read hundreds of books in my life. On rainy days growing up in Western PA, where it could lightly rain all day, I'd sit in my room and read a few books
