OP, I just went through something similar at my place. Idiot young kid above me on 3rd floor, plays his music and bass chit all day and night, I try and knock on his door but he won't open up. Tell management office, they send security but he won't open for them either. Idiot gets a pitbull and leaves it in a kennel 18 hours a day. The dog tries to eat through the kennel the entire time and bark, driving me crazy. I start feeling bad for the doggo, call the Humane Society and dude is forced to give doggo to new home to live a better life. He also got a 14 day violation of lease letter and if he gets one more noise complaint, he's out. It has been QUIET the last two weeks. You got this.

If she's being honest about wanting to fix the situation, tell her she needs to save the pizza and drinks money (Lol shes totally trying to smash her way out of doing anything) and crate her dogs during the day. You'll probably have to put up with a week of whining and barking that you can hear but they will settle down quickly.

Then smash after the problem has been resolved.

The replies in this thread make me understand why there are so many threads about "bad" or "aggressive" neighbors. I'd love a situation where the neighbor actually recognizes that there is a problem, informs you that not only are they working on solving said problem but invited you to text/talk to go over any specific issues or ideas, and is doing something feasible as a "sorry for the inconvenience" gift. Not everyone's situation is perfect and it's nice to see someone taking responsibility and inviting open communication. Some legit soulless fuks in this thread.

As for solving the situation with the dogs, that would be on her, unless you have some connections who could help.
