If I were to make a call to an employer and say "X employee killed someone in my family" wouldn't the employer ask a bit about a police report, ongoing case, something like this? Why is "X raped me" automatically assumed to be true by entities that cannot possibly verify whether it is true or not?

How can universities or employers be so stupid? Just lol at due process these days.

Murders are easily proven, through police reports, evidence, dead bodies, incarceration, etc.

Rape is not so easily proven or disproven, even in the absence of a police/medical report, and most people would prefer to err on the side of caution especially when it comes to their money.

STORYTIME! Had a chick flip out on me and start yelling asking if I'm gay, take me home, i wanna fuk etc in the middle of the street in front of the bar while i waited on my uber. She was grabbing on my arm and shirt and chit like a child. Beautiful girls DO NOT take hits to their ego lightly bruhs

Was a deliberate move by me because she blue balled me a few days prior, I returned the favor to let her know I wasn't hurting for options and she was PISSED lulz

She was fine af and a lawyer, you could tell she had never in her life been turned down for sex before (obviously) and it absolutely killed her that I would go home solo when she was horny AF.

Fast forward less than a week and she came straight to my house and fuked me like her life depended on it, no alcohol or anything srs

Murders are not easily proven - hence often years in court, appeals, and so on. Either way you're talking past my point: many crimes against someone else are 'he said she said', but 'rape' is being treated extremely delicately although it is essentially a claim about someone else's behavior which can indeed be proven or disproven.

If you read the article in the OP you would have seen that she went to the police and they didn't believe her (through a medical examination). None of his DNA was even found on her. But she gets to deny the reality of the police report and investigation and this is a travesty of justice. Much as it would be if I started inventing BS about the behavior of other people as a way of 'swatting' them.

Behavior like this should be very, very harshly punished. Even if certain interest groups will cry 'but it'll make real rape victims far less likely to come forward1111' - f**k that noise.

If there was a medical evaluation and a police report backing up the findings of that evaluation that no evidence of rape was found...that guy should have not run into any of this trouble.

At minimum, she's a malignant narcissist. That's why it's so important to learn about narcissism and learn how to spot people who have it, so you can avoid this sort of drama by NOT engaging with them or getting on their bad sides.

She may also be a psychopath, but this is the behavior you'd expect to see manifest as a result of narcissistic rage.

These people are much more common now than ever before.

I'm glad he's suing her because most guys nowadays are so passive that they wouldn't do anything about it. So kudos to him for standing up for himself. But at the same time, he should have never put himself in that position to begin with. I would never let some random drunk slut that I just met stay the night at my place.

Murder suicide, it's the only way.

Barring that, the state needs to bring up criminal charges against her, people can't just be labeling others rapists when there's proof of the exact opposite.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

She wasn't raped, but she identifies as a rape victim. Her pronouns are rapee/rapee/rapees.

There's a lot more nuance to rape than there is murder.

Murder constitutes one person killing another. yes they can be disproven or end up with a false culprit, but on paper at any specific point in time, it's either "yes or no" not "oh i was consenting and then I change my mind" or "I was drunk but went with it, then regretted it" or "this guy I've known for years forced himself on me but he claims it was consensual" with all the grey area in between. It's hard to (dis)prove a rape if the only two people who can be witnesses have conflicting stories. Alternatively, it's easy to say a murder happened when you have a dead body with clear signs of foul play in the vicinity. Does that make sense?

I read the article, saw there was no court case or police report. Like I said at the end of my post, most people would prefer to err on the side of caution. Just like how a bad reference can cause trouble getting a job, so too does someone accused of rape even if nothing has been substantiated.

I'm not arguing that she shouldn't be very heavily punished, it's despicable what she did. Just trying to explain the reasoning behind your initial question. Unreported rapes are probably much more frequent than unreported murders, and so people covering their own ass or their business' ass will stay far away even if nothing is proven. Gone are the days of "innocent until proven guilty".

This happened to a guy I knew in undergrad, ded srs.

Cliffs:
-Goes out with some lab mates to the bars.
-Gets drunk with a 6/10 girl, which in engineering is a 9/10. This girl frankly has a reputation of being dishonest and cutting corners, but again, engineering 9/10.
-He's into her.
-She's into him
-They go back to a friend's place and get handsy, but basically pass out before anything happens.

-Chick wakes up the next day, fully clothed. "X guy raped me."
-Her friends are like no, wtf, we were here and didn't see anything, you're trippin'".
-She keeps claiming rape anyway.

-She starts talking about it with people in lab, b/c women.
-Guy gets an email one day from his PI. "Please come to my office immediately".
-Aw fuk.
-Dude gets to the office. Prof is sitting there with some forms laid out on his desk, and another professor standing there as a 3rd party witness.
-Aw FUK.

-Prof's like "I've heard what X girl has been saying about you. This is a he said/she said situation, I'm not the cops, I'm not taking it to the honor system for expulsion with no evidence."
-"BUT, we have X girl talking about you, saying "I have to work with my rapist every day", and that chit's a BAD look for my lab."
-"So, you will not come back into my lab. You will not talk to any of your old labmates again. If you stay away, I'll pass you on research for the year (needed for graduation). Neither one of us will speak about this again."

Guess it turned out well for the guy all things considered, but ho lee fuk at the pucker factor there from one crazy sloot.

I urge you not to lose faith entirely. You should always believe what they are saying until proven otherwise. I do hope the guy in the OP is able to get some sort of compensation through his defamation charge. It is extremely disappointing that things like this exist.

Reasons females have told me they accused someone of rape:

- found out he knew her boyfriend, so she did a preemptive strike
- he nutted on her face without warning her
- he one-nighted her and then ghosted

Hard for me to take rape claims seriously until I hear some very damning evidence. Just saying.
