No joke, couldn't find it on the shelf at the store I usually go to. Asked the guy at the counter, and he was like "yeah we actually have one bottle here" and grabbed the one from a selection on the counter that a delivery guy brought in. Perfect timing if I ever saw it.

I was VERY impressed by that for the $15 it cost me. I've only tried a few whiskeys, but I think that's my budget go to.

Also, Sorry Scotland, we can make scotch just as good as you.

I know it can't be labeled scotch, but I guarantee you'd never know it was distilled in Texas. It's that good.

Evans Williams is very much like CB Jackson IMO.

If I’m not mistaken, CB Jackson is owner by Specs? Not sure if it’s native to Texas, but it’s one of my budgets as well.

I’ve gotten a 1.75ml for $22.99 many times

Nope, was in NYC for work and found a good store in a mall for the Barrel Bourbon, the other two are at my local liquor store.

I was surprised when I tasted that bottle. Pretty damn good. Didn’t know Balcones made it up your way.

First time I've seen it, and hopefully not the last. They had their blue corn whiskey and bourbon offering too but they didn't seem to have as much praise.

Balcones again. Hands down one of my favorites, I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed a whiskey this much. I've made quite a dent in the bottle already. It's just so damn good.

Watching the fights, drinking different whiskies. Had Balcones, Buffalo Trace (still meh to me), and Four Roses Single Barrel. Not sure what's next.

I wished I liked that Four Roses Single Barrel more. Even my wife likes it, but it's just so bland to me.

Now the Russell's Reserve single barrel..... Oh Lord that's a different story

Damn straight. Their distillery is in downtown Waco in an old fire safety storage building. They still use one of the original jewelry vaults behind their bar in their tasting area. They make some great spirits.

Single Malt Scotch will about to go up because of tariffs.

Picked up this cutie last week......................get out of the car, wife grabs the box under her arm, shuts car door with same arm, drops box on ground, boom..........my driveway smells like whisky. Look at her, tell her get back in the car, she says "why?" I say "Cause you're about to buy me another bottle of Scotch" and she did, she felt pretty bad about it. I didn't give her much crap about it.....Chit happens. I did make her try it though (she hates Scotch/Whisky/Bourbon) and while she could clearly tell the difference between this and lesser scotch, she still hated it.

My heart was truly broken for a moment. I was waiting on my recent promotion to be finalized before I let myself buy that bottle. Promotion was finalized Friday, bought the bottle on Saturday. Dreams were shattered. Its all good now though....she made up for it.
