Holy ****, just saw Joker. Best movie of this decade.

Incredible. Everything.

Acting of Phoenix was amazing, if he doesn't win an oscar they can close the academy.

Yes, incels will love this film btw.

Also some brutal scenes.

Go watch it, this one is worth the money unlike the Marvel/Disney garbage.

It's 10 / 10 an instant classic. Easily one of the best of last 20 years. Still reeling from it days later. Not many movies have that effect.

I’ve worked with schizophrenics in the past and have even been attacked by them while on the job. Joaquin’s performance as a mentally ill psycho is far too convincing. Literally everything from his expressions, posture, language, voice, interactions and world views to the look in his eyes is identical to what I would see in my schizophrenic clients. The acting itself is stellar. However the movie was just bizarre and uncomfortable for me. I didn’t like it.

It's a good movie, 8-9/10 but it's not a 10/10. Best movie of the decade? Immediately whiplash comes to mind as a better movie

Imo Phoenix’ is portraying The Joker as a mentally ill person, and we’re inside his ill mind.
Ledgers joker, while obviously a psycho, is a “super villian” first, and a mentally ill person second.

Yeah really hard to compare the two. Ledger's take is completely different. More an unbalanced force of evil chaos. Honestly, not really as 3 Dimensional as Phoenix who somehow balances empathy with fear and absolute insanity.
