Lots of *******s here, but it isn't too difficult to find quality people if you have your chit sorted. It is a massive city with all sorts of people after all.
Like most cities, the neighbourhood you live in matters a lot as well. You can pretty much make what you want of the city as long as your finances are in order. If I was still poor living in the chitty areas of the city with no car then I probably would have moved a while ago. The TTC is full of the worst degenerates you will ever see in your life.

However, that does not mean the city is terrible or a bad place to live in by any stretch of the imagination. It is the 4th largest city in North America, there are a ton of things to do and you and it's a good city to live in if you know what you're doing.
If you're comparing the place to nice spots in California then yes it is a chit tier city. It is important to have some perspective though, there plenty of cities that are much, much worse.

Enjoy your 50k homeless population, border hoppers, worst traffic in the world, chit air quality, chit water quality, failing infrastructure, zero variation in weather.

As a Canadian, you very well know what I've typed is truth. Australia has a similar economic model, but has infinitely better weather, so they don't need to shill as hard as Canada to keep property prices so high. To be honest, if it weren't for the money laundering facilities and the EASIEST Five-Eye nation visa, Canada would have nothing.
You cannot doubt this.

the best part of toronto is the outer areas where non-whites live. cheap and delicious food is everywhere. no inferiority complexes will be found here.
the worst part of toronto is the actual city where white ******* hipsters live. they are by far and away the lamest people on earth. massive inferiority complex.

Canadians are the soyboys of the world. The fact you never hear about women lusting over Canadians says it all. Women talk about wanting Aussie beach chads, Hot American cow boys, high class good looking white Europeans. No woman dreams of marrying a Canadian

been to toronto a few times so here's my perspective
Pros
- lots of different food and places to eat
- people I find are overall friendly
- women seem to be cool
- alot of cool stuff to do in the city
- suburbs are actually quite nice and quiet
Cons
- chit tier and garbage public transit, a nightmare to commute in during rush hour
- sjw and libtard central in certain parts of downtown, remember when these *******s literally blocked sections of the road
- expensive housing and just overall, not as bad as Vancouver but still really bad
- many parts of downtown just look like a chithole
- cold af in the winter
it's not bad of a city, there's better but there's worse. I actually liked the other parts of the GTA better. Mississauga, Scarborough, Markham, Vaughan. Even went to Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes in the summer and those places seem really nice. Alot of non-white people in the GTA but that doesn't really bother me at all. I think if you just avoid the chithole and ******* sections of downtown it's actually an enjoyable place. I'll admit their winters are a huge turnoff for me and would probably be the main reason I would never live there. But if it had at least North Carolina weather all year round it's a liveable place. But housing there is and even the surrounding areas are very expensive.

You obviously have not been out to venture outside the downtown area/arenโt going to the right places/arenโt willing to learn more about all the amazing places and things this city has to offer. For every style, taste, culture, there is ALWAYS something going on here, every weekend (every night in the summer). It is truly a versatile city with hidden gems that you will find and fall in love with if you take the time and effort.
Thatโs the thing about this city, itโs big and seems so hustle bustle from an outsiderโs perspective/someone new here, but it has so many hidden gems, niche cultures, amazing and close knit communities that you would never know existed unless you really took the time and made the effort to get to know the city. It is a truly beautiful place, from the lakeshore to all the running trails to cherry beach to casa Loma to the badlands to Sunnyside to the island to high park and so, so much more. Every big city has that chaos and busy streets, ignorant ppl, stuck up douchebags etc etc but what makes each one unique are those small hidden gems all over the city that make the city what it is.
And I havenโt even mentioned the surrounding GTA suburbs which have their own unique vibes.
Toronto is truly a magnificent place with awesome people. You gotta look beyond all the superficial and โstatus quoโ ppl. Every city has that, and if you canโt look beyond that then youโre lazy and narrow minded. Toronto has some of the strongest and kindest communities (girls and guys), you are just looking in the wrong places. If King st and downtown are your perception of what Toronto is, you obviously have no idea what this city has to offer.
Edit: how can you not love a place like this (all pics taken by me during my runs except the gardiner pic which was taken at 6am driving with my friend):
