Lots of outright losers in this thread.

Americans care so much about their freedom, but let an 11 year old girl
walk out of school with a extra carton of milk, without hitting anyone,
and that means a cop should bodyslam her.

"The 11 year old should have been so calm in the face of physical assault
by law enforcement"

There are so many ways this could have been handled, it's almost a joke.

Negs on recharge. Some of us grew up in this culture...retard, and either had cops called on us and complied, or didn't have cops called on us by our school because we didn't act out.

Is this all LEO trolling here or...?

He should not be in that job period. Yes it’s a difficult demanding job but he makes it even more so with his attitude and actions.

Watched the video.

Can't imagine anyone taking this man's side of things.

Yeah sure, a 6th grade girl is supposed to think of a guy that walks around her school all the time just like her teachers as an agent of the state with the right to lay hands on her.

IMO police shouldn't be in schools on the regular. If there are kids that are that much of a problem then send them to an alternative school instead of bringing the law into a place of education.

Or alternately if it is so super fricking dangerous for children to be in the same space as other children and teachers now then let's just ditch that system already. Online education, home school, private tutors..whatever if we have decided that children are too dangerous to interact without police involvement.

Again, you're retarded. This isn't about 'me', nor is it about 'brutality', it is about why some people think they do not need to comply with law enforcement officials. Bad or absent parenting? Possibly. Entitled child? Absolutely.

Fist yourself, loser, and I hope if you raise kids like the girl in the OP that they are quickly taught a sharp lesson by LEOs.

Bro, I support the cops, but that guy is a POS and deserves to both have his ass kicked and be fired. There was absolutely no reason to escalate that situation.

Didnt look excessive at all.

It was just a minor takedown.

However the cop didnt have proper technique in order to cuff her. Better to use the chicken wing and risk injury that eay than a takedown on cement imo.

Maybe its time we rethink background investigations, credentials, and compensation for police officers. I hate taxes as much as the next guy, but honestly, you get what you pay for.
Alright a lot of the times I am on the side of way too many power tripping cops, terrible training, doctrine, SOPs, etc. This really isnt anything that bad. ****ty behaving 11 year old acting out and should have obeyed the officers orders. She was 100% resisting and making the situation worse.

With that said not sure I would have handled it the same way. The cop was being kinda ****ing retarded in the way he(she?) handled it from the get go. But thats the officers discretion at the time. I didnt see anything excessive, but the image is it was, so the cop will be persecuted. PLUS THE REAL REASON THIS IS EVEN AN ISSUE: The little girl is black and the officer white, so evil whitey trying to keep the dindu nuffin down.

I've got to agree with this.

The cop didn't really need to do all of that but at the same time this was made 100x worse because the girl was a total bitch, disrespected, and resisted anything the officer said. Then she cried the entire time to put on a show. I have a hard time believing she was "hurt" and if she was hurt it's because she was fighting him back trying to turn her over so whose fault is that really?

"Just leaving" with more milks than she was supposed to. That's called theft dumbass, even if it does seem trivial as milk from a school cafeteria.

She got her ass whooped because her parents never did and she has no respect for anyone or anything, and everyone's crying about it because it happens to be a cop that finally had to discipline another piece of sht kid. Yet we had the video of the guy beating the living sht out of his son with a belt because he danced with some gay guy and everyone thought it was hilarious. Fuk cops though amirite?

what's wrong with kids nowadays. They're not scared of anyone. This kid is not even scared of cops. What's going to happen when she grows up?? I'm kinda on the fence with this one. Like if you're a cop, what are you supposed to do?? you got called by the school because their student is acting up and stole some milk and clearly uncooperative and then the principal tells you how to do your fkn job.. fck that.

there's no excuse for the false documentation but the kid is trying to leave the school against the principal and cop's order. Idk what i wouldve done if i was in that situation

and i didn't see the "slam" btw. My dad and big brother beat me up worse than that when i was a kid and acted up.

Ever heard of "indicative"? Millions of children go to school every day without getting law enforcement called on them.

Now ask yourself why. You keep trying to talk past the point like an interest group mental midget but you fail, spectacularly. Improve your rhetoric.

I'm trying to tell you guys that a school should have alternate methods of dealing with this.

What is she going to learn from being tackled by the cop? She didn't even harm anyone.

Furthermore, it's a school, they know who she is, and can reprimand her another way.

Additionally, it's a goddamn 11 year old, not exactly the fountain of reason.

Charge the parents for the stolen milk, suspend her, detention, community service, etc.

Lots of ways to do this.

I don't know this for a fact and maybe some cops could chime in, but I would imagine that school resource officers are sort of the bottom of the barrel of police officers? I mean, wouldn't a really capable/bright police officer be doing real police work?

However the cop didnt have proper technique in order to cuff her. Better to use the chicken wing and risk injury that eay than a takedown on cement imo.
It was excessive though. The girl’s alleged assault wasn’t assault at all and she wasn’t a threat to anyone so he had no reason to go hands-on. Idk what’s the school’s policy on kids leaving without permission but the principal seemed to wanna let her disruptive ass go. The cop went overboard
