I like how its convenient to forget how we were all railing against how much of a failure Medicare & Medicaid was not long ago & were rooting for a better version under Trump but, now, point to Medicare & Medicaid like it's a legitimate answer to the healthcare problem.

It really is amazing how certain buzz words immediately make us jump to conclusions. We hear "mass shooting" and we start thinking about incels, millennial problems, and for the most part have this image of a skinny white kid. The Misc then gets flooded by people asking why this keeps "feeling" like its happening all of the time.


Then a few clues pop up that actually illuminate what was really happening:
1) the mainstream media not reporting on it
2) the demographics of the party
3) local news and twitter not mentioning obvious defining characteristics of the suspected shooter


We see the same thing in Chicago literally every weekend. If the mainstream media gets a whiff that this story won't support their narrative, they keep silent.

The news media doesn’t report black on black crime the same. It’s almost like they don’t want it heavily publicized. I’m also hearing this was a female shooter. Those two features make this low-priority for cnn to report.

Being the story is still breaking, I'm not expecting every detail. Funny how instantaneous we expect our news these days. Likely they're still trying to figure chit out. I've already seen two news sources covering this by the way and I'm not even searching this stuff...

Update:
Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said Sunday morning that 12 people were shot, two fatally, when a gunman entered The Party Place Saturday night and opened fire with a 9mm handgun. The private venue west of Greenville was hosting more than 750 people who gathered to celebrate Texas A&M University at Commerce's homecoming weekend.

The identities of the two people who were killed — both of whom were male — have not been released, Meeks said.

Buddy Oxford, Chief Deputy of the Hunt County Sheriff's Office, held a news conference earlier in the morning and said the shooter is at-large, his identity is unknown and that no motive is known for the shooting. He added that a description was also not yet available and that witnesses are "not being cooperative," saying they didn't see anything.

Meeks said it "appalls me" that with so many witnesses, there is not a better description of the shooter, and the sheriff encouraged people to come forward with information.
