I find it weird but Florida might be on the bottom of my list as far as states to visit. Only reason would be NHL teams to watch.

Summers here are too hot for me, I'd die in Fl. I've lived in the NE my whole life. I like having seasons. Fall and spring are GOAT. The cold doesn't even bother me that much, I just hate winters cause of the darkness.

I ain't gonna lie, FL is only good for people who TRULY love the heat, I mean sweating profusely 24/7, if you don't like sweating profusely then stay the freak away from Florida, srs, because the crime rate is crazy high, tons of people, anger, tons of blacks, but the weather is fantastic, if you love the heat, if you love sweating profusely 24/7

Where did you hear this? I'm here now and that is not true. People tend to leave San Diego/California in general when they retire because the city is too big and bustling.

Here i'll show you. I got these statistics from city-data.com;

Hm, as an added bonus, population wise, there are even more females in San diego.

Floriduh the poverty version of California. GOATcal has quite literally perfect weather, no hurricanes, and the most diverse geography in the nation. You cna go to the beach, skiiing, camping, the desert, fish at lakes, hiking, or chill in world class cities.

No, too much drama there (fires, homosexuality, homelessness, etc)

I am a Tampa native and moved recently to the midwest (Cincinnati) I can honestly say that Florida certainly has alot of redeeming qualities having left it:relatively low cost of living to access to amenities ratio, the fall and winters have amazing weather, flat and easy to navigate overall, publix is goat (Kroger does not compare sorry) but at the same time there is a certain amount of charm that is missing from Florida. First of all it is crowded as **** and hot as balls for most of the year, you dont get seasons at all. Its the same weather for most of the year and the summers are starting to become unbearable. The people can be rude and abrasive at times. Home prices are rising fast. At times it can feel commercial and lacking an actual spirit. Kind of just feels like a giant theme park.

Wood boiler running great, dat faint smell of Hickory, Cherry, Oak wafting in the air around my house. Cold, crisp air...snow flakes dancing off my cheeks. Sippin my hot coffee which tastes sooo much better in the cold. Oh lookie there...my neighbor walkin her dog in Uggs/tights and tight north face jacket. I wonder if she can smell the lucious turkey i have in the oven, as obviously Im not caring about cooking anything indoors like a HEATCOOMER would in their dank, musty, hot, humid, love bug infested trap house. It’s literally 80 degrees outside right now. I’m cycling to the gym and everyone here is wearing yoga pants.

Also I’m 25 min away from the beach.

Ive lived in Tampa, Orlando, Pensacola, Fort Myers. Visited all the big spots. Its like any other city theres just areas you dont go. Where I live now im 1 mile from the tourist strip. If you are 1 mile the other direction you are in drug land. 90% of the crime you read on the news is the direct result of the drug trade or drug and alcohol use.

I love living in Florida specifically southern half of FL. I would not rather live somewhere else not even Hawaii or California. I will say Florida varies wildly by area. Everything north of Gainesville is culturally country/redneck. Everything south of Gainesville is uber liberals/alphabet people territory.
