Edit: what is your opinion on firing a heavier round through a compact? Heard there is less recoil with heavier rounds, which is something that might be nice to have in a smaller pistol.

You won't have velocity with a shorter barrel so it makes sense to use bullets designed around that limitation. This is way more of a big deal for revolvers than semiautos though, just because of the caliber and barrel lengths involved.

All that really matters is picking one of quite a few defensive rounds that meet standards, testing it to ensure reliable function in your gun with you shooting it (included point of aim = point of impact), and then stop thinking about ammo choice and spend that time and energy on the other 99%.

The go-to now is HST, though for 9mm Gold Dot 124+P has been very good for a long time also, but really, just search up Doc Roberts (docgkr) 9mm (or whatever cartridge) list and pick one. If it's available at a reasonable price to you and works in your gun, use it. Or, you know, get an HST.

If you want to sweat over little details that probably don't matter, try 147gr HST first for a small gun like a Shield, HST is great, and heavier slower bullets lose less velocity out of a short barrel than the lighter and faster ones as well as generally all else equal offering a softer pushier recoil than the maybe little bit snappier and muzzle rise-y lighter faster options

But really really, just pick one from the last that works and then don't worry about it any more

Is it all just Disney stuff on there? I want to get it, but there isn’t a whole lot I think I’d watch. Maybe if/when they bring back the stuff they removed from Netflix (punisher, daredevil, etc)

Yeah but Disney bought a lot of stuff. Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, regular Disney ****, national geographic apparently, The Simpsons (just saw that...what? IDK). If you have kids you get some bonus stuff in addition to all the kids stuff is how I see it

First episode set the bar pretty high for the rest of the season IMO. And the ending of the first episode is pretty damn mind exploding...if you're a Star Wars geek and know anything about it beyond just what knowledge you gather from the movies.

Mandalorian Ep 1 ending spoiler for anyone curious about the ending who hasn't watched it and may be on the fence about how potentially bad ass they set the season up to be:

So about half way through the episode, he gets a job to track down someone/something (he doesn't know what it/he/she is, only that it/he/she is 50 years old). So at the end of the episode he finds it. IT'S A FUKING BABY OF THE SAME RACE YODA WAS. Mind blowing because Yoda's race is so rare, no one knows squat about them. Also so rare that when Yoda died, it was thought that he was basically the last of his race, but now we have a fuking baby one. What do the people who hired him to track this baby down want with this cute fuker? Is he or she force sensitive like pretty much all the rest of Yoda's race was known to be? WTFFFFFF??!?!!!!!
