First date with me not drinking: I don’t care if the other person drinks, I’ll just get a Diet Coke, I can have a conversation that I’ll remember and actually is interesting and makes sense/engaging but I wouldn’t share on a first date with a stranger I am in recovery most likely, people that aren’t get weird about it if they want to have a drink

Wife and I were both DD night we met of our groups.

All the drunks were begging us to leave lol we couldn't stop talking.

Want on date next day, moved in immediately, married 16 years.

No alcohol needed.

She actually quit alcohol entirely because I had a waterbed and was like aaaahhh confusing.

Then we got a cat and it ate the bed.

I'm glad I don't date. It's too mean, I made my choice...and I'll go down fighting with her for the things we're not going to successfully change.

I used it for years not completely aware of what was happening to me...using it as medicine for racing thoughts and trying in vein to keep calm enough to stay alive.

Never again.

It got my grandfather, who did quit...but that killed him.

It did not get me. And it didn't get you either, so good job. Happy days.
